Cvs weekly 6/21-6/27

Just got the Hula umbrella tonite!
First rite aid didn't have any. Second rite aid had one left. I asked the young man I saw walking around if he was working the register. He said he was and then proceeded to ask me if I had 2 coupons for 'that umbrella'. I said yes and asked if it was a problem. He said no but I'll go ahead and tell you that your final cost is 29 cents so you can get your money ready.
He was being kinda funny and said 'I work here and don't get deals like this.'
So then I proceed to call my mom and tell her about the deal. So she asks me did I get one for her. So I run home, print more coupons and off to another rite aid. So I find like 10 at another store. I go in buy one w/ the two coupons. When I come out, I send younger DD in for the same thing, when she comes out, I send in older DD for one. That guy must've thought we were nuts.
Anyway, now mom has one and I have 3 for older DD's graduation party next summer (she wants a luau theme.) I thought they would look cute sitting around the yard w/ chairs under them for her grad party.

Well DH thinks I have officially lost my mind (I blamed Robin!). I ended up going to get one of the Hula umbrellas because I thought that it would be too cute for DD10 to use over her lemonade stand.

As DH was teasing me about it outside, our neighbor came out (retired military man) and LOVED the umbrella. He was even more thrilled with the price so I ran inside and printed out the coupons for him, told him how to present the coupons, showed him my receipt and told him which Rite Aid I went to that had 1 more left. He left for Rite Aid so I hope he got one too!

I was able to use both coupons so mine was .29 as well!

When will her lemonade stand be up and running? I'll stop by to get some! Are her proceeds going towards a WDW trip?
I hope he wasn't going to the rite aid by the BMW dealership. I got their last one there. The one by me didn't have any left. Hope he got one before I started my go round.

Noooooooooooooooo! That is where I sent him to get the last one. Oh well. Not sure if he found one or not.

Great idea LanaJae for the color change! How do I do this though? (On a side note, I learned to multiquote on the cvs thread! It is good for all kinds of things.)

I hope this makes sense... If you highlight what you type and then press the A button next to where it says "fonts" and "sizes" (above the buttons for B I U), you can select a color for your text.

Yippee - got a grand opening mailer with a $10/20 and other coupons for the new store only, I already used them all and then came home and started asking neighbors to not throw them away if they don't use them. Scored 2 more

Is the new store open already? Where did the mailer come from~your snail mail? I hope we get one too!

It opened on Sunday, I've been there every day lol - I thought you were the one who told me what date it was opening. Peggy from Mahtomedi has been there every day, Rob is the manager (I don't know him but he opens many stores and he seems nice), and Ann from Woodbury (blonde/very pretty/young) is the asst. mgr. Ann opened the store in Woodbury with Terry 4 years ago, she was still in high school.

Everyone in a 3 mile radius was supposed to get the mailer today - that should include you unless you are on the far side of Oakdale (from here). If you don't get a mailer, I will meet you at the store and give you one I got from my neighbor.

Well, how about that? I was the one who told you, you're right....but I've been thinking it was June 26th! I will have to try to get there today. I know Peggy from Mahtomedi and she's the one who I thought told me June 26th for the opening. I'm probably beyond the three-mile radius since I'm pretty far north. Maybe if I cry on Peggy's shoulder, she will give me someone's mailer at the store. It's really sweet of you to offer, but I don't want you to give one of yours up. Thanks! You can blow her over, but she is still above 90 lbs. (was 100). Tomorrow is the big day, we go back to Mayo Clinic and she should get the go ahead to chew food. She wants shrimp and pasta for supper.

Not only did they beep - but the cashier told me I got the wrong product. I apologized and he said no problem and pushed it through. Usually at that CVS if they beep the cashier just pushes it through without a word.

The same thing happened to me with the Coopertone coupon. I tried using it but the cashier went back in the bag before ringing it up and told me it was for the wrong product. However, I did get:

5 Soy bars and used (1) $1 coupon
1 package of Huggies Pull Ups (1) $2 couponb
Soba Drinks b1g1----(2) b1g1 coupons......4 BOTTLES FREE

Still a good deal.
