Cvs weekly 5/15-5/23

I'm so hooked on this thread. Today I got the M&M's 2/$4 - had a b2g1f manufacturers coupon and the print out from CVS for $3 off 2 - we do not buy candy much but this was too good to pass up.

New guy on the register today. I tried this one today, but he wouldn't take my coupon - said it was expired - never been a problem before. He also wouldn't give me the shampoo coupon as he said the bottle of shampoo I picked up wasn't CVS shampoo. The line was too long to have him void it or to argue with him (about 15 people) so I just rolled with it, but I wanted to argue with him so bad. My total OOP was the cost of these two coupons. Oh, well, I guess they're getting these items back as no way am I paying for anything at CVS even if it is sale price - not when I have a coupon.

On another note I was able do the Nature's bounty deal. He wouldn't give me the full $5 for both, only $4.98 for the second coupon, but I'm not complaining I was still ahead that amount on the deal The best part I got two bottles of $4.99 vitamins that my mom uses every day.

Once you'vr reached the LIMIT chances are NO!! I think that deal is limit 2 so prolly not . Plus watch the 3.98 and $4 ecb as you may need a filler to make it up to $4!! That is when the 90% Off stuff is great !!!!

No, because the limit is 2, but you could take that $ECB and buy two speedstick with 75 cent coupons or $1 coupon if you've got one (I've got two of those - not that I need deodorant after the bonanza of the last two weeks ). Or if you've got a coupon for the Colgate you could get toothpaste for $1/tube after ECB and break even on your ECB.

Even better, if you have the right coupons you could to the nivea deal for $0. That's what I did tonight, two women's nivea body wash for $5.99, one Men's Nivea bodywash/shampoo for $4.99 less two $4 nivea/women's qs, less $3 men's nivea q less CVS $2 off 2 soap or BW q less $4 ECB and my total was exactly $0 and I made money on this deal as my ECB back was $5 (this is a monthly deal so it won't show up in your flier but it's supposed to be $5 ECB on $15 of select nivea products - good thru 5/29) Plus I got bonus travel size lotions attached to the BW.

Oooh. I'll be on the lookout for that one. I may even ask around the pack and see if anyone else is willing to contribute their coupons.

I noticed the items at CVS are CVS brands for the marshmallows and crackers so that coupon wouldn't help. However, if you have Wags where you live, they have free marshmallows when you buy Honey Maid crackers and Hershey's chocolate bars. You can use the $1 mfg. coupons so you would be getting all three for $5. No limit if you are able to round up several coupons. Looks like the same S'mores ingredients at CVS will cost you $6.49.

I knew the limit was 2 and assumed I wouldn't get a second set of ECBs, but the sale price still applies, right?

Usually... but if you want to be doubly sure take out a second card in either your DH/child/cat's name and get a second set of ECB rolling. It can really work to your advantage to do so. There have been a couple of times when I wanted to do two of a deal because I had enough coupons that I feel the extra bit of hassle has been worth it.

No razors at either of my stores. Bummer. I did do the Aussie deal and Speed Stick. I needed soap so bought the Dial and also the Pepsi since we needed that as well. I also bought lots of Dawn using $1/2 coupons.

Check your make up coupons. My stores are doing the make up clearance. Got lots of Revlon lipsticks and eyeliners using $2 coupons and CRTs.

Theoretically the coupons are supposed to be used on CVS brand shampoo - their generic shampoo, so to speak. But usually it won't beep . Its a matter of whether the cashier pays attetion or not.

Oh, I get the theoretical part, but my store doesn't even carry CVS brand shampoo - they used to but not any more - there are a couple of semi-generic brands that I've never heard of before which may be the store brand, but nothing that's marked "CVS" or even "Essence of Beauty" which I know is a CVS brand.

$7 for Fructis Shampoo???? Are you kidding me??? Remember when we use to get this for free? I miss the free Garnier days. I really liked that face wash.

I noticed yesterday when I went to CVS that the Garnier that is $7 is the large bottle. I guess that isn't too bad then! I thought it was for the regular size bottle!! Still too expensive in my book, though.

I now have even more Dawn. With the $1.00/2 coupon it was only 34 cents a bottle. My shelf is full and I think I will be donating some of it to my niece who doesn't have a dishwasher!

I also did the Herbal Essence because my niece had requested some mousse if I could get it free and with the $1.00 coupon from Sunday's paper I actually made one cent!

Other than those, there wasn't much that was interesting to me this week. And I will be taking the next two weekends off since I will be in Disney World.

My two stores did not have the razors either. Just a little thank you to the poster who said some of the revlon make up was on sale, I bought some little lip sticks for 2.49 and had 2.00 coupons so they were .49 each. I was also able to get the 4.00 back. Some of the New York nail colors were also 75% off (.49 each) and I had a coupon for B1G1F.

The CVS brand does not have a name on it, I asked an associate and she showed me which ones they are ( she said they have some numbers above the bar code and thats how I could tell if it was a CVS brand).

Yesterday I got a $1 off CVS brand cosmetic accessory. I used it on a little plastic case of Q-tips (CVS brand). They were .99. It was perfect for me because when I travel I usually stick a few Qtips in the travel Kleenex pouch. Now my Q-tips have their own case! yay!

-1 blade razor (got the last one!)

Minus these coupons
2 $1.50/4 Chef Boyardee
1 $1 Herbal Essences
1 $1 CRT for shampoo
1 BOGO Q for Cover Girl $5.99

cost $14.98 (used ECB of course)

got back 2 for Herbal Essences, 6.99 for blade, 3 for Chef Boyardee = 11.99

total cost $2.98 Not too bad. I have over 60 extra bucks on one card so I needed to spend a few, LOL.

Thanks for the idea on this one...on that same coupon printout, I got $1 off 2 paper products...any ideas for that one? I was going to do some looking when I have a few minutes tomorrow. I hope mine has the qtip thing too!

Oooooh! yeah! I love rainchecks - since there's no expiry they're great to hold onto until there's a coupon which would turn this one into a MM.

Needed fillers so got 1 bottle Xtra and 2 bottles coke still marked at 88c from last week
TYotal oop .35c AND I got $2 in ecbs !!! Now that's a deal !!!!!!
