CVS Weekly 4/12-4/18

happy
easter
to all my
cvs buddies

Here's wishing you a Happy Easter, too! I think we are finally thawing out in the North Country and have had some fairly mild (for us :rotfl2:) temps recently and will again tomorrow.

Happy Easter to ALL! :flower3:

FYI.....

In Maryland anyway.... CVS tissues are NOT B1G1 - they are buy 2 get 1

But not a bad deal if you got a scanner coupon for $1 of 2 cvs tissues...

I check out http://iheartwags.com to find the Walgreens deals. It's set up the same way as the iheartcvs site.

Thanks for the info. I just checked out the site. Besides the free after RR stuff the cereal 3/10 seems like a good deal to me if you use 3 $1 coupons. Does that sound good to you?

I used the scanner coupon on the purse sized CVS tissues (2/.99) which made them free. It says boxes but worked fine without a beep.

I went tonight and got.....

1 Softsoap body wash 4.99
1 Pert Plus Shampoo 2.50
1 Sure deodorant 2.50
1 Colgate ENamel Protect 3.99
1 Colgate Sensitive Whitening 3.99
4 Excedrin Tension 7.96
1 Vitamin Water 10 1.34
1 Hershey bunny .50

Total was $28 and some change before coupons.
I used .75 Softsoap body wash, .75 Colgate, 1.00 Vitamin Water, 1.00 Pert Plus, 1.00 SUre, and 4 1.00 Excedrin and $12.96 in EB's. Total after all that was $4.04!:cool1: And I earned $14.47 in EBs.

I think only certain Vitamin 10 Waters must be $1.00, b/c mine rang up 3/$4 and did NOT give an ECB. I didn't want to argue over .34 or a $1 ECB and I did have a Q, so I will try it for .34.

i went tonight, but my store did not put in tomorrows deals yet, usually they are in about 6p but the manager said they were very busy so i got

6 excedrin - used 4/$2.00 coupons - 1/$1.00 and a 2.50 off 10 crt
also got the shaving lotion...and a coffee maker which was 75% off so came to about 8.50 oh and the softsoap refills they had 2.50 coupons around so it was a 1.00mm!

will go back early tomorrow because i want that Colgate Sensative paste

WARNING!

Just wanted to warn everyone that the Softsoap scrub ECB printed out for 4.49 instead of 4.99. I pointed it out to the cashier and she said it was because I bought it today, and starting tomorrow it will print 4.99. I really doubt it so check your receipts! Oh well that's what I get for shopping on Saturdays :headache:

Same thing happened to me, I got only 4.49 ECB. I did have $1.50 off coupon from RIB, so I really can't complain.

My CVS had men's Adidas, action 3 "intensive" solid deodorant 50% off, it was $2.50.(Only the "intensive" scent is reduced) The Adidas deodorant is a monthly deal, get $2 ECB on each, so net cost was 50 cents.:thumbsup2

Happy Easter to you, tngramma and ShiPooOwner, and Everyone else, too!!!:wave2:

There is a $1/1 coupon in the 4/5 Red Plum that makes this a money maker.

My Softsoap printed off 4.49 too.

My Colgate toothbrushes didn't print off at all and I had to go back in for those.

I only went tonight because I don't have time tomorrow. I think I will wait after this for the kinks to get worked out.

Yep, my softsoap ECB was $4.49 as well.....

also got a raincheck for the free after ECB for the skintamate shave cream!

I'm nowhere near a great Walgreens shopper, but I did some deals this week. My Walgreens accepts internet coupons. You can use the RR on a second purchase, but if you are going to use it to get RR back, the one you use can't be from the same company as the one you are buying. For example, you can't use the Colgate RR to buy Colgate again and get RR again, but you can use it to buy 2 Visine and get the Visine RR.

You don't need a card at all, the RR prints out from a machine next to the register. I find it complicated, especially trying to figure out what to use the RR for to get some back. And, I pay tons more tax at Walgreens than I do at CVS for some reason. This week, I did:

2 Visine AC ($3.99 - $3 coupon - $3 coupon)
get back 3 RR

1 Colgate ($3.49 - $0.75 coupon)
1 item to get above $3
use 3 RR, get a $3.50 RR

I wanted to buy some Skintimate that was giving back 3 RR, but it was unmarked and the one I bought didn't give me anything, so the game ended for me:confused3

I think that Visine and the Reach toothbrushes might be the same company. Also, the RR count as a coupon, and you have to make sure that you have at least the same number of coupons as items.

I also understand that they have monthly RR deals, but they aren't marked at Walgreens here, so I have no recourse to complain if they don't print out.

Good luck, I hope you have a great Walgreens.

CRUD!! so that's why I didn't get the RR. I only bought one cuz I didn't realize that I needed two. Is this a monthly or what it just for the week? if it's still good for this week 4/12, I'll go again cuz I've got more of those coupons. thanks.

Yes, mine too printed $4.49. I don't think it was because we got them on Saturday night though, I think it is a computer glitch. I will be calling on Tuesday to see if they can give me the .50.

Yes, that is what they are here as well. I did you the scanner coupon though so $1.29 for 3 boxes of tissues isn't bad at all!

Be careful with the toothbrushes. Only the 360 SENSITIVE work. I had no problems with my ECB's printing for that last night. I didn't have toothpaste coupons but I did have the $1/2 toothbrush coupon so I did that deal.

Zantac is a pretty good deal too if you get the CRT. I also did the Kelloggs 2/$4 since I had $1 q's and that made them $1 a box.

I tried to do the Pepsi 2 liter deal, but that wasn't turned on last night. I will stop this morning to get that. There were $1/4 CVS coupons hanging on the bottles though, so I grabbed a few of them so I could do the deal today with a coupon!

Happy Easter everyone!

the Softsoap is still printing 4.49ecbs - i did not say anything though - don't even think i'll call...

did get 3 toothpastes and 1 toothbrush between both cards and the softsoap on each!

lisa

happy holidays

The walgreens Visine deal is till 4/25.

Anyone know if the Coppertone Nutrashield is 8.99 too? With the 3 ecb and the $1.50 coupon from 3/1 SS that's a good deal for good sunscreen. It's beach season!:yay:

Happy Easter!

K I am newish. If I use my ECG bucks and buy somthing that u can get ECG bucks....... Can I still get ECG bucks back??

K I am newish. If I use my ECG bucks and buy somthing that u can get ECG bucks....... Can I still get ECG bucks back??

I'm not sure what you are asking but you can't get change back on ecbs, so if you only buy a $4 item with a $6 ecb, you lose $2.

If you mean can you roll them yes. That is why I prefer them to walgreens. I can use my $3.99 ecb from cologate to do another transaction for a second $3.99 cologate, pay nothing and get another $3.99. At wags you can't use a RR to buy the same RR product.

Not everything earns ecbs but you can always use ecbs to pay for items that give more ecbs. I haven't spent real cash at cvs in a long time except for script co-pays.

Yeah I knew it wasn't because of Saturday like the cashier said, but it's not like I could argue it because the sales tag DID say 4/12. So I just let it go

I'm at my lowest ECB amount since about a year ago right now :scared: The deals lately are just terrible. Last year I was able to roll $75 ECB's every month, without losing any, and that's including buying milk, newspapers, and bread there every week. By the end of last year I was even rolling $150 on one card, and I was still able to roll them completely. I think my all-time high was close to $200. Now I'm at $30. Hopefully we'll get some great deals soon, I'd love to build my ECB's back up!
