Cvs weekly 3/21-3/27

So someone stole my paper on Saturday....or they didn't deliver it. I'm bummed. How sad is it that I look forward to Saturday's paper just for coupons and sale ads?

Anyway, I don't think I'll do anything this week. Probably next week.

I got the 89-cent candy bar with the Dove CRT and it only took off 89 cents this time. Bummer. I expected it to take off $2 like last time.

I made my stupidest CVS mistake EVER yesterday. I forgot to use my $4/$20. I can't believe I did that.

Some CVS' will credit the coupon after the fact if your total after coupons was more than the $4 - mine did when I forgot to hand in my $5 off $40 one time. I just brought the receipt and the coupon in and the manager refunded me $5. It's worth a try if you go back that way at all this week.

I bought 4 of the Dove bars that were on sale for 2 for $1 last week hoping to get the full $2 off and the cashier only took 50 cents off, so I feel your pain!

Your pain is worse than mine -- I did get the candy bar for free.

I have to remind myself how much I save at CVS and let the little errors go.

OT but I'm so upset with myself. (kinda in line with forgetting to use the 4/20 - which I've done too - but this is a matter of $10, sigh)

Does anyone know if Kohls takes expired Kohls cash, by one day? WHAT was I thinking? I thought it expired today, but it was yesterday. Is it worth making a trip there, or is there no way they'll accept it?:headache:

Ask to speak to a manager if the cashier will not take the Kohl's cash. The register will not read the barcode since it has expired but there is a way for the amount of the Kohl's cash to be deducted from your total sale. I am a former Kohl's PT employee and we would always honor Kohl's cash. It just may be that newer cashiers don't know how to do the transaction with expired Kohl's cash. Again, ask for a manager if you have any problems. Don't let too much time go past with expired Kohl's cash.

Thank you so much. I'm so upset with myself as I knew it was there and needed to be used, and in this economy can't afford to let stuff like that expire. :( Headed there now, I'll let you know. Thanks again.

Has anyone ever had issues using the Rite Aid coupons at their CVS?

The pharmacy technician got cranky today and called back the manager to see if they could accept it. The manager seemed irritated to be bothered and said "Yea, take it. We accept competitor's coupons" then when she left the technician went "This is limited to 1 per person." (I used one last week for DS too)

Does it say that anywhere?? I mean, I've only ever seen signs that say "We Accept Competitor's Pharmacy Coupons!" and no other CVS has given me an issue.
There are 4 others within 10 minutes drive of my house so I might just stop going to that one.

Just wanted to say thanks again! I'm so glad I didn't just toss it but asked here! It scanned without beeping, she didn't blink, no problem whatsover. Then it was funny, the woman behind me said something like 'Oh good, I have Kohls cash from yesterday too' and then dug it out of her purse. The clerk said like you did, that it scans unless its really really old.

So thanks again VERY MUCH! I got a lot of great things, all on sale!! :goodvibes:thumbsup2

Then I'm jumping on this one next time - actually using those as expired is better because then they don't say not for scanned card :cool1:

Are you talking about the emailed coupons on iheartcvs? Or the 5 off 20 for Reno?

I have been using the CA only ones here in SC no problem for over a month. They did not beep until they were like 2 weeks expired (maybe longer). My CVS pushed it through anyway, but I have not used one since it beeped.

I think I will try to use the Reno one today. I had to adjust the size (took me a while to figure it out!) Thanks for posting the link to it!:thumbsup2

I am talking about the emailed ones without a name on them. One store that ShiPooOwner and I go to keeps insisting that they want expired coupons.

If I use those emailed coupons by the non-expired date, they say "not for card scanned," but if I use them after the expiration date, they just beep as expired. All the generic types (like the ones before the "Reno" one) will scan without beeps for two full weeks after expiration.

I'm not sure how the Reno coupon is locked down. They would have a way to make it scan only in a certain region. If I lived in any part of California/Nevada, I would try it - good luck!

The Reno coupon worked for me just fine tonight. No beeps!

Thanks for the response Lanajae!

I don't recall if its been mentioned in this thread, but the BAN deoderant SOLID in powder fresh rang up for $1.75 at my store. And I still got the $2 ECB. There are also coupons from 3/7 SS. Limit 2.

Thanks, Maggie. I'm going to make my second trip of the week later today so I'll check to see if our stores have them for that price. Hope so! :cool1:
