Cvs weekly 1/10-1/16

Re: SoyJoy coupons, according to the coupon database at Hot Coupon World they were in the 1/3/10 Smart Source. There were two different coupons (I'm guessing depending on where you live?) either $2 off 10 bars or buy 2 single bars get one free.

Neither coupon was in my Smart Source :sad2: , so it's possible you didn't get them either.

My CVS does take expired coupons, I hope that it doesn't change.

So does anyone know how it works when you transfer a prescription with a coupon for a gift card?
Does the new pharmacy have to call the old pharmacy for any kind of verification? Even if the RX bottle is current (not expired) with lots of refills left?

The pharmacy will take care of it for you. Just bring your empty bottle and the coupon.

I got one today. It was giving my opinion about the phrasing that a hypothetical pharmacist might use when suggesting a way to save money using a different drug for the prescription the dr. ordered for a patient. If you qualify to take the survey, CVS gives you $5 ECB's and if you don't qualify, you get $2 ECB's.
:lovestruc
do you have a link?

Do you remember where exactly?

Also, two of my best stores told me they're no longer taking expired coupons :( :( :(
Apparently its soon going to be nationwide policy, too. Anyone else hear that?
:headache: Yup...my store just told me the same thing...:guilty:

You're lucky. I'm still so bummed about mine :(

Its really a shame because one clerk said the manufacturers accept them up to 6 months later, too! They did take a CRT that was a few days old, but said they probably won't do that anymore either :(

I just realized this morning that I let 2 ECB, $17 in total, expire by 4 and 5 days:headache: One of my CVS said no way, I have one hope left, but, that's alot of money!

I did it.

After much trial and error I walked out of CVS tonight with a total of only 88 cents. :woohoo: My total before coupons and ECB was $45 (before sale prices $64). I'm a little bummed that my ECB when I left were only 1/3 of what I went in there with ($12 vs $36), but I got some stuff I really needed like cottonelle and shampoo and AXE which didn't have great returns on the ratio of ECB to cost.

Now does anyone know if CVS will take a manufacturer's coupon after the fact? I had a coupon for 50 cents off the toilet paper that I forgot at home. I didn't use any other coupons of the same value.

So Smiller and I planned to go CVSing this afternoon without kiddies. Since I had no coupons clipped, she had to do it during my doctor's appt (that she came with me to since I don't go anywhere alone.:crowded:) I think the nurses thought she was a little off because she had the piles of coupons out with scissors... whatever. All the clipping got done. Thanks sis!:thumbsup2It was very sucessful! We didn't have to look far for the Pantene or the Soy Joys.:3dglasses

Okay... here are my deals of the day!:teacher:

Transaction 1

2 Pantene 6.97
- 3.00 Pantene coupon
- 3.97 ECB

Total OOP: .58

got $2 Pantene ECB and $1 Fall Spending ECB???? whatever!

Transaction 2
2 Soy Joys packs 12.00
- 2.00, 3.98, 5.98 EBCs

Total OOP: .25

got $12 Soy Joy ECB

I'm back in the game! :cool2:

The best part was this lady was checking out before us and she was buying like a gallon of booze :smokin: and she complimented me on my HORRIBLE maternity coat (really it's an old baggy coat of my mom's from the 90's). Smiller and I couldn't stop laughing. :rotfl: This lady even told me I was trendy. I'm not trendy! Smiller thinks I look like someone from Harry Potter in it. Like a flying Wizard or something. :wizard:

This is the same coat that smiller left in the waiting room at the hospital for the length of my appt. No one even sat next to it. It is not cute.

Okay, enough about the weird coat. The gallon of booze was just so funny too.:drinking1

Oh, and smiller bought the green bag tags too, so now we each have one and I guess the deal is that you earn $1 ECB every fourth visit? How fun!:woohoo:

I'm back in the game! :cool2:

I got two boxes of Soy Joys - I might have to roll them into four more boxes.

Though I am tempted to try a hot strawberry Soy Joy, I think I'll just take them all straight to the local food pantry. I would not wish any flavor but strawberry on anyone - I remember one kind tasting a lot like liquor...

And, speaking of liquor...

For you Harry Potter fans, I call it her Hagrid coat. It's definitely NON-trendy. It wasn't even close to being trendy when DMom bought it.

I am very excited for the green bag tags! The cashier said you can scan them once a day, so it's not like 4 transactions in one day count for $1 ECB, but it's still pretty cool! :thumbsup2

Hi Everyone!!!

As hmillerbarilla posted, she found out while I was in no cell phone land for two weeks - I got her phone call while dining at a Perkins some where up north. :)

I had some JFM, too, and when I tossed it, the little bubble of plastic gloves fell out. I figured I'd keep those because they might come in handy. The hair dye, not so much! :lmao:

Let's all be on diaper watch! I'm going to start a price list for hmillerbarilla so she doesn't spend too much money. Diapers and wipes - I'm open to CVS, Costco, online, etc! :teacher:

As for the Soy Joys, my heart did skip a beat when I heard about the bonus packs at CVS. "Step back, smiller, you don't need any more Soy Joys!!!" :rotfl2:

Just wait til we get rmiller (our DMom) on here! I taught her last night (hopefully once and for all) what the DIS and DISboards are. She took notes. We haven't moved on to how to post yet, but that will be the next lesson.

Hmillerbarilla - I'm glad you found those coupons that YOU RECYCLED!!! How could you??? (I always sign up hmillerbarilla and rmiller for coupon mailings so we can all get extras. :thumbsup2)

You also better get cracking on clipping coupons. You can do your DD's hair (since she looks rather disheveled when I try) and clip and organize coupons. I'll do the laundry, cleaning, shopping, driving, and cooking for your DH. :laundy:

That would be fun! :cool1:

I am so happy to see you two again and am patiently waiting for rmiller!

:scared1:
:dance3: YAH we are all back!

Buy the way. Last night my manager(who usually nice)was having a fit. I asked him for the Soy Joys..He carried on for over 15 minutes...He said he is getting tied of these people comming into his store for 4 and5 hours and scamming....:scared1: He said some women can into his store and bought all the soy joys he had:scared1:He said she was there all afternoon. She would buy an item and then tear off the extra caer bucks and turn around and buy something else to get more bucks..then had the nerve to ask if they can keep here 7 bags(tote)behind the counter. Then she came in the next day too. I dint know what to say:rolleyes1 I just said well maybe she had a ton of cards:confused3 He said they are doing some inventory at the end of Jan and L&P will be there and he intends to bring this to the attention of them:teacher: OMG he was so po'd.pirate: I think I might say away from there for a while:idea:

Yikes, I think he needs a vay-cay asap! That woman is very stupid though, I think that's called cutting off your nose to spite your face :scared1:

Has anyone been in CVS yet this week? I really didn't see anything exciting to get me there yesterday :sad2: I need to finish up the Soy Joy but nothing else really jumped out at me except maybe the Pantene.

I did actually get out and have me time yesterday morning and saw the movie It's Complicated. I thought it was pretty funny. DH's cousin is in the movie, so it was neat seeing him up on the big screen :goodvibes

I didn't go, I've looked at that ad a hundred times and still can't come up with anything.

Who is your DH's cousin in the movie? Tell me what part he is in, I will go see it just for that - that's so cool!

I don't own a ShiPoo (wish I did), but you sign up here: https://www.cvsadvisor.com/ :cheer2:

Great job!

There is a function on the register called "cash for coupons." This doesn't mean the store you go to will know how to do it though.

So Smiller and I planned to go CVSing this afternoon without kiddies. You are back! Do you have to be super careful or you will go in early labor? Did this happen before? I am so sorry that you're going through this!

I love the coat story! Please have smiller take a picture of the coat.

I got two boxes of Soy Joys - I might have to roll them into four more boxes.

LOL, I have been paging through the ad every night and can't find ANYTHING. I think I will just wait until next week at this point.

Towards the beginning of the movie they go to NYC for the son's college graduation. When Meryl Streep is checking into the hotel, he is the desk clerk who waits on them. He has several lines of dialogue. He is also in the scene when they are checking out, but he doesn't have any lines then. It was weird to see my last name roll through the credits since it is rather unusual....I think his role was listed as Hotel Desk Clerk.

The pharmacy will take care of it for you. Just bring your empty bottle and the coupon.

Well I transferred an RX prescription at Rite Aid with the coupon but it wasn't easy. First, they didn't have the exact same generic so had to make several calls. Then my coupon wouldn't scan, even though it was from their site. They had to run all over the store to find another one. Said if they didn't find one, they couldn't give me the gift card. :headache:

Then when I finally got it, then looked at it on the way home, it says Return Merchandise Card. HUH? Well I have the receipt that says there are $25 dollars on it but what if I wanted to give it as a gift? I don't but its just weird IMO.

Does anyone have good luck following the deals on the Rite Aid fan site, I love it, or whatever its called? The lady running it does a great job but it always appears to be the last week, or next week that she covers. Am I just reading it wrong? :confused3 (I still prefer CVS)

Both coupons were in my inserts. The buy 2 GO didn't work tho.
