First let me say I am a pretty good grocery coupon shopper, but have never really gotten into the CVS thing (despite a very nice store being located 1 mile from my house). Too many of the products that people can buy for "free" are not brands we use. I do have a CVS card, and occasionally will make a purchase; but I am not a weekly CVS shopper/stockpiler. Not a judgement, just a statement to know this is an accessible deal. I also rarely print internet coupons, I have always just clipped newspaper coupons. Also not a judgement, I just have a hard time with some of the coupon sites due to being a mac user and having a "crazy firewall" on our home network.
So here goes:
In the 3 day ad that came in my Thanksgiving Day paper there is a Sonicare Toothbrush on sale for $39.99.
I had a $5 off $25 purchase CVS coupon that was emailed to me.
I had a manufacturer's coupon for $25.00 (it came from a Sunday newspaper insert probably 3-4 weeks ago).
Finally I used a CVS extra buck worth $3.99 that I'd had forever.
Toothbrush original price $82.99
Sale price $39.99
Less $5.00
Less $25.00
Less $3.99 EB
Subtotal $6.00
Tax (8.25%) 2.89
Out the door price $8.89
So if anyone out there has the same coupons, and has a desire to own a Sonicare this is a really good price. Moreover the price I paid is less than one refill if you have an existing Sonicare (and the new toothbrush includes a toothbrush head and a neat looking travel case).
Honestly, if I had another set of the coupons I would have purchased a second. Hope everyone's holiday shopping goes well.
