Cvs & riteaid 1/9-1/15 weekly deals

I haven't CVS'd in a while but due to rising costs of drinks at the kids schools (plus everything is sugar-free and we don't do sugar substitutes) so I did the following... Not the greatest, but better than $2.25 for a drink at school!!

20 Sobe = $20.00 - 8dollars coupons = $12.00 plus I received $10.00 ECB's.

20 Sobe = $20.00 less $10.00 ecb's, and have $10.00 for future purchase.

WOW I think thats great. I had so much sobe from the last deal but now after vacation I have 0. never even thought that deal out. i think that is a do where did you get the coupons?

Ok so my Maalox deal didn't work out the way I thought. I only got 1 $5 Maalox coupons. And the paper it is in (Boston Globe) is $4 on Sundays. So I would've had to go and buy three more papers for $12 to get $15 in coupons. I didn't see how that would be worth it. But I went and printed the $4 Gas -X coupon Maggie mentioned. So I did this:

1 Maalox 8.99
2 Gas-X 6.29*2
1 Snickers bar $.89
1 Reeses's mini $1.59
Total $24.05
There are $/$$ on I heart CVS EXP TODAY/SUN so...
-$4/20
-$5 Maalox MFC
- 2 $4 Gas-x mfc (not: these say for Gas-x prevention, but the preventions weren't tagged in my store and they went thru fine on reg)
-$1 crt for snickers, twix, milky way n something else. Printed today
= $6.05 before tax
Received $10 ECB, $1.59 ECB, $.89 ECB
= $6.43 MM!!!!!!!!

And DH couldn't understand why I wanted to run out to CVS tonight. I've been doing this for 3 years and he still doesn't get it. I said I'm using $6 CVS dollars and getting back $12 CVS dollars plus free stuff. And he still says "Well you are spending money." NOOOOOO, I'm not. (sigh) Only my CVS friends understand!

Since the contest I get a few coupons every few weeks. The first ones had an expiration date that had already passed, but my CVS will take them as long as they are not copies from the computer.

When I went to CVS today, there was a lady there sticking 14 packs of Finish dishwasher detergent in her cart. Luckily I managed to get the 2 packs I wanted while she was loading up. I took the last 2. I rounded out the deal with 2 Lysol toilet bowl cleaners and 3 Lysol disinfecting wipes.

A dove candy bar CRT printed out for me from the coupon machine, so I was able to use it for the .89 candy deal and make it a money-maker.

Lysol deal looks really good. I think I might do it. Now that I know I can use reg. soap to refill it I have one in the downstairs bathroom (the one everyone uses) and LOVE IT!

The cap is really hard to get off the Lysol automatic soap thing so I have my DH do it for me. He takes a spoon and puts it under the cap part and pulls up. It eventually comes off. I have refilled it 2 times from one of those big Softsoap refill bottles that I got when they were BOGOF and used coupons.

I just read about a cool app for your phone in All You magazine. It is called CardStar. You can put in all your Rewards card numbers and then all you need to do is have the store scan your phone to apply your rewards number. You no longer need the little key tags!!

I just downloaded it. But haven't used it yet. I will let you know if it works. If anyone else tries it before me, please post your results!

I don't have an iPhone. I have a Droid based phone from Verizon (the Vortex). The app is good for either device.

I wonder if I can put the bag tag number on it too???

After taking a long long long break from CVSin' I did a quick run today. I had no ECB's left so had to start over from scratch. Once I got there I realized I forgot my coupons for Finish, Airwick and Clear Care. So another trip planned for tomorrow.

Paid $5.98 and received $3.48 in ECB's. Not the greatest CVS trip. Maybe I'll do better tomorrow if anything is left in stock.
