CVS Pharmacy ExtraCare Rewards

Question, you are given an option to either print out the $5 coupon or send it to your Extracare card. If I send it to my card, will the discount be applied to the first purchase, or will it print out a coupon good on my next purchase (like the extra rewards do?)

You have the option to send it to your card, but you have to log in to do it. It isn't like when you send a coupon to your card. They will then ask you when you check out if you want to use the rewards on it (if you sent it to your card!) Otherwise I think after your next transaction it will automatically print on the receipt if you haven't sent it to your card. Hope that make sense!

My store has a machine in the front (sort of looks like a big red atm machine). When you send stuff to your card, you can print them out there before shopping so you don't have to wait buy something to print receipt.

I've done this with the $5 off $30 type coupons and it also prints my quarterly (?) extracare bucks.

I'm not sure if every store has these though.
