CVS ECB quests from newbie

OK - just joined the grocery game and I also now want to get in on those great CVS deals I keep reading about. So, I have card - now what?

Do I make the purchases and then I have to check my balances online and keep track of what ECBs I have coming in? Do they print out on my receipt each visit or is it only when they reach a certain $$ threshold?

I could use all the info anyone has please!! Trying to really, REALLY cut down on expenses here. Gotta save up to pay for my gas and electric bills!

I just joined at CVS and from my experience, the extra bucks print out on your receipt and expire in about 3 weeks. Also, I think if you go into the store and scan your member card thing at the kiosk, extra bucks will print out there if they haven't already printed out for you on a previous receipt. These kiosks also print out coupons for you sometimes.

The CVS ads tell you what kind of items give you extra bucks each week. Like last week,the ad said if you bought a shaver for $10, you got $10 in extra bucks. . The Sunday paper had a $4 coupon for that shaver that week, so for spending $6 this week I got $10 to spend there next week. Net $4.00 but don't forget to use your extra bucks before they expire!
