Cvs 7/19-7/25

Warning about Alli, I started taking it Wed. night I think. Didn't affect me at all, same with Thursday, Friday and Saturday. This morning it hit me with no warning at all, so if you think you have to go, get somewhere real fast. TG I was at home. We went to TGIF last night and I had the prime rib stroganoff and it did warn about cream sauces in the literature, so apparently I was eating properly until last night. I will not be eating any cream sauces ever again!

You sure did great today! I got all the school supplies but the 1" binders didn't give ECBs, went to another store and it was because they were the wrong type, but the first store had over-rode the price to make them $3 thinking something was wrong in the system.

I bought bandaids this morning and they were regular price, I wonder if your store has old sale tags up - if they do, that's good because they have to price adjust them.

I also read on another board that the Johnson & Johnson 99 cent first aid kits (in the travel section) are counting for the deal. There are $1 peelies somewhere for J&J products.

In other deals (NOT CVS), Staples has buy any backpack, get the amount paid back in Staples quarterly rewards (reward card free), starting today. This is an amazing deal, as Jansport and Swiss Gear are included.

What a fabulous day today! The $1 off Band-Aid coupons you may have work on Johnson and Johnson travel kits. This is what I did:

batteries - $1 q
two cases of water
two speed stick - 2 $1.50 q's and $1 CVS q and $2 CVS q
two papemate pens
two memo pads
2 Sobe (BOGO)
6 J&J travel kits - 6 $1 q's
4 regular boxes band aids - 4 $1 q's

Used $5/$30
Used 17.96 ECB
$6.16 OOP
GOT 17.96 ECB (I have no idea how I ended up getting back exactly what I used -- freaky)

I also went to Rite Aid and got 2 packs of Huggies overnights and a card for $15.15 OOP. Used two $3 Huggies q's and the $5/25 q. I need to buy one more pack of Huggies this week to get the $25 gift card and free pack of diapers deal there!

I hit Target, too, and got 40 pack of glue sticks, 2 boxes of red pens, and one Digiorno Flat Bread (free with coupon) for $11.88.

Total cash spending today was $33.19!! :cool1: :cool1: Amazing for what I got!

By the way, I could not find the binders here either. There seems to be some kind of mix-up with those. There weren't any slots on the shelf for 1 inch binders that retail for $3.49. :confused3

Go online next time and get random pictures of birds to make a movie DVD for your cats, I've done this before for my cat, she loves it, she will sit through the entire thing.

______

NOTE: The binders are called Alumni and have a shield on them. They aren't very good, so if your store is substituting and manually printing the extra bucks for the Avery (reg. $5.49), they are much better.

Thanks for the Ali warning :-) I'm always a bit more oop than I want to be, but I don't mind it terribly, I'm still saving money, I burned some on the milk & water, but that's stuff I have to buy anyway. I plan to use my photobook rainchecks and $/$$ to grow them back.

The binders are kinda crappy. They're okay for free, but I would have rather had the Avery. I will let the college kid use them, but the kids need to last all year. And ours were in the "school supply" /seasonal place too

I dn't have exact numbers but I did 3 transactions
First I did the papermate pens and pencils threw in a duracell using a c/o ad with my ecbs paid I think $1.18 and got $6.96 back!!
Second the Banda id deal I bought the colorful antibiotic ones and neosporins which had a free bandaid holder came to about 10.38 used c/os on both - $2 and paid about $2 and got $5
Third deal Bandaid deal again on another card plus batteries using c/os plus 2 x filler sheets paid $5 and got back $10!!!!!
So I paid about $9 total and got$15 back to spend next week !! I am Happy and the School Supply box is filling up!!!!!!

DH was making a run to lowe's so i asked him to stop at CVS for the kotex and sent my card, coupons and ECB along...i can't wait to see what he comes back with...ROFL

You are one brave woman! :lmao: I don't trust my ECBs with anyone and especially not my DH. :rotfl2:

Let us know what you get.

I gotta give him credit for following directions

Mine would have bought them, not used the coupons, not used the card and said something like "they were only a few bucks anyway, what's the big deal?"

Heads up for next week, print this coupon for a money-maker after coupon/extra bucks on toothpaste: http://www.colgate.com/app/ColgateTotal/US/EN/SpecialOffers.cvsp

Another one for next week, can print 2 from each computer, makes 3 boxes 50 cents after coupons/extra bucks: http://www.vocalpoint.com/kashibar/coupon.html

Reason I am posting these now is that print limits can be reached and the coupons might not be available when you need them next week.

This is totally off topic but how do you post links like this? :confused3 (Can you tell I'm technologically challenged.....)

The new Woodbury store has become my favorite due to the very wonderful cashiers and manager. Jake is a total dear and was amazingly helpful yesterday with a bunch of old rainchecks and running to find the binders for me. You are so lucky to live so close!

I just copy and paste them in the post, it turns into a link by itself.

If you are on the webpage you want to post the link for, just click on the line on the top that says http:/www.... and the whole link becomes hi-lighted. Then you can either go to the menu and select "Edit" then "Copy" or a shortcut is to press the "Ctrl" key on your keyboard and while hold it down, press the letter "C."

Then you go to the spot you want to paste that link (such as a reply) and click in the spot where you want it to be, then you can go to the menu and select "Edit" then "Paste" or a shortcut is to press the "Ctrl" key on your keyboard and while hold it down, press the letter "V." There are others ways of explaining it here: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080220000745AAY9sER

I love Jake, he is the nicest cashier ever!

softlips are on clearance for 99 cents so if you have a coupon there free!

where are/where those coupons? I have seen the soft lips tubes at our store but didn't know there were coupons out there for them. :upsidedow
My girls would like them, and I would like because they'd be free. :rolleyes1

I read on another site that if you write to compliment them on their products at: http://www.softlips.ca/softlips_en.html they send coupons, don't know if it's in email or mail though.

There was a coupon in the last Reinventing Beauty Magazine, it expired on 6-30-09, it was the Oxy one, included several products.

The scanner is also printing a 1.50crt for the deodarant..

Another deal I did:

$5.98 Two Speed Stick Pro deodorants
-3.00 Two IPs from coupons.com, use zip code 33907 if it doesn't show for you
-1.00 CVS coupon from Reinventing Beauty magazine
$1.98 (earn $4)

Also, the Photo DVD is a limit of 5, I tested it today.

I got one today, but I already did the deal, then realized that it was still great with the $1.50 IP. Unfortunately the store I went to was out. I only got 3 CRTs today, plus the nuts and water.

Hi CVSers. I went today and continued my school shopping with ECB from last week. When I finished (bought pens, kleenex and tube socks (my son needs these for art for $1)) I had a -2 cents balance. I had a nice cashier and she said hey there are M&Ms on clearance for 37 cents. I said OK. Well they were movie size boxes. Marked down from $1.50. I bought 5 boxes for just over the price of one.

Goat a couple of ECB and 2 3/15 coupons!!

For those who couldn't find binders, check your seasonal back-to-school aisle. There was no spot for those binders in the stationery section (where all the other stuff was) but there was a wide selection of the right binders in the seasonal aisle. YMMV as I didn't see them at all at the first store though.

:thumbsup2 Thats where mine were and they didn't have a tag marking them so they were fully stocked. I think I'll be able to go tomorrow and get the binders, pens and filler paper to donate to the local charity. People will be in that first week of school looking for supplies.

I just checked my receipt from yesterday and I got a CRT for 5/15:cool1::banana::woohoo::dance3:

It has been so long.

Just tried to print the Colgate coupon and it said..."Sorry, you have already printed this coupon or the promotion has ended."

I don't know whether I've printed it so the limit might already be reached :confused3
