Cvs 6/20-6/26 weekly deals

Question about rainchecks...

I have a raincheck from last's week Shick Hydro razor (sale for $8.97, get back $4 ECB or whatever it was) and I see next week they're doing a "Spend $20 on Schick, get $10 ECBs back"... anyone know if it will work towards both if I use the raincheck next week?

Not wanting to do anything wrong, just curious how it would work.

I've tried everything :( Any chance you or someone else has it saved or a way it can be shared? I'd be so grateful!:thumbsup2

I don't know how to save just the coupon in a big size. I checked and I can print "current" view from the online pdf too - I'm thinking you have the same options if you have Adobe Reader 8, maybe I'm just not being clear about how to do it.

This is where I am talking about:

this coupon says its only good for NJ and PA stores only? Is it working in other states, too?:confused3

I'm going to try something a little crazy this week. Last year I fell in love with Olay Total Effects when I found two of them on clearance for 90% off. Now of course I can never find much of a deal on it, so this is what I'm going to do:

$20.00 Total Effects Moisturizer
7.00 Total Effects Body Wash
?? Ivory hand soap
-5.00 coupon from page 50: http://epaper.philly.com/Web/PagePrint/2010/06/16_06_2010.pdf
-7.00 mfg. from Parade magazine (Sunday paper)/get Total Effects body wash free wyb Total Effects moisturizer
-4.00 mfg. from P&G insert for Total Effects body wash
-?? mfg. from P&G insert/get Ivory bar soap/hand soap/body wash free wyb Total Effects body wash

It should come to $11 plus tax and I'll earn a $7 extra buck.

What will happen is that if you spend $20, you will get the $10 on your receipt, and the cashier will adjust the price to $8.97 for the razor, then s/he will have to manually print the $4 extra buck for the razor.

If the cashier figures out what you're doing, they will probably say you can't get both, but odds are they aren't going to look at what you're earning the $10 for. It's a great idea, a little sticky, but will probably work fine.

For mafibisha, I forgot to write that I can do a print screen for just the coupon, like I did on the photo above to show you how I am printing, but it degrades the quality of the photo and the bar scan won't scan.

The manager at my favorite CVS called me by name today  (I've never introduced myself and I wasn't cashing out at the time, so it wasn't from seeing the name attached to my CVS card). Although I should be flattered, I think I would prefer to be called "crazy coupon lady" or whatever nickname the cashiers have given me ;). I'd rather be the anonymous lady with a CVS addiction. :rolleyes1

Anyone else greeted by name at CVS?

Is this a sign I need to cut back on the # of visits per week... usually 2-3?

this happened to me once. One store I frequent is coupon friendly. I always say hi to the stockpersons around the store and they are friendly also. This one guy (maybe an Asst mgr?) I've never seen at the registers. He walked up to me one day and said Hi Linda, is there something I can help you find? Of course I laughed because I know nearly every inch of the store. But afterward I was a little nervous. How did he know my name. The cashiers must talk about me when I'm gone. I hope in a good way cause I share coupons with them.

No, it's a sign to increase your visits :rotfl2:. The name thing is coming from the survey questions (when you get a survey on your receipt) - there's a question that says, "when appropriate, were you addressed by name?" It's for the pharmacy, but they're all supposed to get used to doing it when they know a customer's name.

YAY! I loved getting the Total Effects so reasonably, so glad you could do it too!

That's weird about the Axe coupon not beeping, that would be an easy mistake too as they look and smell the same. This reminds me that I have some $1 Blade coupons - thanks!

Thanks for the detailed explanation LanaJe! You're the best! I'm super impressed you could post this pic too! :thumbsup2

My print page looks like that before it prints, but the coupons come out really small, maybe 1 inch by 1 1/2 inches. Will they scan through that small? How big do yours print?

You did great! How big were your coupons when they printed?

Hey awesome budget board peeps.

I really should start paying more attention and save more money but its hard with 2 kids and such. But I saw the deal on diapers this week from huggies.

So the sale is $19.99.. I thought I heard you also get $10 in ECB. I know there is a $3.00 coupon ( I can not print this at work ). I also have a $5 off $25 expiring Weds and this morning I got 10% off coupon when I checked out.

Please someone in very slow terms explain to me if I can do all this at once and what exactly does the $10 ecb mean. Can I use both of my coupons for the $19.99 (adding one more thing of course). Do I get $10 to use on my next purchase? Is that what ECB means. How do I use it?

Thanks!

Mine were small, but not tiny.

You want to keep increasing the size of the page (using the percentage thing, such as view at 150%, etc.) to the point where you only see the coupon(s) that you want to print in the viewing area on your screen. Then, when you select "current view," you get bigger coupons to print because current view means it prints only what is visible on the page. I think mine were about 3" x 3" or close to that - the bar code scanned easy.

I so wish I could jump through the computer to show you, you'll have one of those "ah ha" moments when you do it, as it works really good.

I have never heard of a 10% off coupon, but if I were you, this is what I would buy:

$19.99 Huggies
3.99 CVS Brand pain reliever
1.98 Two (2) PowerBars
-5.00 off $25 coupon
-3.00 Huggies mfg. coupon
-2.60? 10% off coupon?
$15.36

On your receipt, you will get a $10, a $3, and a $1.98 extra buck(s). They are just like cash and you can spent them any time for whatever you want (except a few things like lottery tickets, gift cards, alcohol/cigarettes).

What we do is spend them the next time on deals like this - we buy things that earn more of them, so we end up paying very little for anything. Most of us only buy what gives more extra bucks.

I haven't recived a % off coupon but I read that it can't be used on sale items. :confused3

ECB are roll-able onto any other item in the store with exception of a few items, Rx, Gift Cards and depending upon where you live possibly Milk & Tobacco. Most people on this thread use them to buy more items that give back ECB so that they can keep rolling their money. :thumbsup2

In my flier, the deal is Huggies 56-96 count on sale for $19.99 with $10 ECB back.

So depending upon the 10% coupon (some say full price items only) you could combine it with your $3 coupon for an OOP cost of $14.99+tax w $10 ECB back

If your 10% off coupon is not good on sale items then I would recommend that if you like powerbars, picking up two of those for 99c each and the Colgate Toothpaste (use the 75 cent printable coupon link that flakypuff posted or the $1 coupon that was in the paper). Your OOP would then be $14.24 or $13.99+tax. Plus you'll end up with $13.98 in ECB.

HTH

One thing to look out for, my CVS had the ibuprofen buy 50 get 50 free (two little boxes packaged together) for $3.99 plus I got the $3 ECB so I got 100 pills for $0.99.

Does anyone know if CRTs beep if they're expired by 1 day? I know some CVS stuff doesn't beep for 2 weeks so just curious.

TIA.

Great deal! I saw bonus ones with 20% more but the UPC was different so I didn't try it.

They do beep immediately - and what's even weirder is that they're on a time schedule, so if you got the coupon at 1 pm and tried to use it at 5 pm on the date of expiration, it would beep.

Our stores push them all through, I hope yours does!

How weird is that???

I did the Huggies deal today. I had received a $4 off 20 on Sat that was good for only 3 days

19.99 Huggies
2.99 Colgate
- 4/20
- $3 huggies printable
- 1.50 Colgate CRT
- $1 Colgate Manu. Coup.

Total $13.48 received 10 ECB/diapers and 2 ECB for Colgate

So OOP total 1.48 + .07 tax for big box of diapers. Thought that was pretty awesome. Although the baby is only 2 weeks old and I'm hoping he doesn't grow so fast that he is in size 3 anytime soon!

I also got a 4/20 on my other card today. So debating if I want to go do it again. Only thing is I can't print the $3 Ip for Huggies again. I guess the print limit is 1?? So how horrible I might pay like $3 for a box of diapers!!!:scared1:

He did! It was my favorite cashier. I couldn't believe I got the dates messed up in my head. :headache:

It beeped and he went "Hey, now, are you kidding me?" and then he grinned and pushed it through.

I had forgotten about being able to use the allergy CRTs on tissues so I did this:
1 Huggies Box 19.99
1 100 Grand Bar .22c (clearance, it looked good)
3 CVS Pocket Pack Tissues 1.49/3

Used:
3 $1 CVS Allergy CRTs (took the full $1 for all of them, woohoo)
$3 Huggies Box CRT (this one expired yesterday)
$3 Huggies manu
$8 ECB

Paid $5.82 w/ gift card (from transferring Rx, so free) and got back $10 ECB.

Not bad. If only I'd gotten one of the $/$$ CRTs, like I did with my other card...
