Did good at Rite Aid. I had four Nivea lip buy one get one free coupons that made the Nivea lip balm $0.50 each. Got eight and will pass most of them along to my mother to include in her grand daughter's Easter baskets.

And of course I got my free Crest 3D Vivid White at CVS. My daughter likes that kind so she was happy to hear that I got more.

That drives me nuts too. Half the time I don't bother with rainchecks. If the deal is a really good one like this or is for something that I actually need, I'll try a couple of other stores. Sometimes I have really good luck in the town I work in. It's a pretty upscale town so maybe people don't bargain hunt there like they do in the town I live in!

On a thread on hotcoupon world, someone said that their manager told them that corporate was pushing managers to SUBSTITUTE products instead of giving rain checks.

I guess this is ok in that you get your product, but not ok if you can't use a coupon. If you push the issue, they might let you use your coupon on the advertised product even if they are giving you some other brand??

I have a CVS rewards question. Hopefully someone can help! I'm going to CVS today and need to pick up some Excederin. I noticed on their add that you get $10 extra reward dollars with $20 spent on any Excederin. Does that mean I have to buy $20 worth of Excederin or that my total bill has to be at least $20 and have Excederin in the purchase? The specific wording says "when you buy any Excederin get $10 extra bucks" and then below it says "spend $20 get $10 extra bucks". I plan on spending at least $20 anyways but didn't want to get 3+ bottles of Excederin. Thanks for any help!
