I may try LanaJae's "trick" with the Star Trek movie. I'll buy a $15 iTunes card on Monday and then get the coupon for $10 off. Then on Tuesday I'll go back and use the coupon, buy another $15 itunes and then get the movie free?? Do you think it will work this time too?

My kids don't want iTunes cards anymore. They say that iTunes is so "old school". BUT, I will use them myself to buy a few movies to download to my laptop so I have them when I travel. Then I won't need to bring along a portable DVD player or my Zune.

I was debating getting the Star Trek movie in regular format vs. Blu Ray. We don't have a blu ray player yet, but I was debating getting DH one for Christmas. And Star Trek would be a great candidate for Blu Ray! But I am not decided yet about buying the Blu Ray player. Oh decisions, decisions.

SS = Smart Source coupon inserts found in your Sunday paper

RP = Red Plum coupon inserts

P&G = Proctor and Gamble coupon inserts

MM= Money Maker, with coupons and discounts you make money by getting the product. Sometimes you end up with items you don't necessarily need or use, but you can use the "overage" to buy stuff you really do want.

some others that confused me in the beginning...

YMMV= your mileage might vary- sometimes the deals and prices posted here may be different than those offered in your local stores.

PSA = Prices starting at

I'm mostly a lurker on these threads, but there are many kind and helpful CVS'ers here to show you the way. :teacher: Before you know it, you'll have a stock pile of toothpaste, shampoo, OTC medications, cosmetics and lots of other fun stuff!!! :cool1:

I LOVE to see how helpful everyone here is. Thanks so much. I write down these deals that everyone posts and it is SO helpful. Thanks Baffalogirl for helping with the info:wizard:

If you were able to get a flu coupon book, there's a $1 coupon in it which will get you a free box of Kleenex this week.

Anyone know what the "dinner and a movie" GC is?

Thanks

Julia

Anyone know what the "dinner and a movie" GC is?

Thanks

Julia

I was curious, too. I checked it out tonight. It costs $50. It is a $25 gift card for Applebee's and a $25 gift card for AMC theatres. It is 2 separate GC on one cardboard hang card that says "Dinner and a Movie".

Ok, here's what I'm going to do in two transactions:

#1

$13 Simply Ageless
$10 Blush
-10 Cover Girl BOGO Free Coupon
-5/$20 CVS coupon
-5 EB from last week

Total: $3.00 OOP + tax + $10 EB earned

#2

$5 Skippy PB (3)
$6 Green Tea (2)
$6 Glade Lasting Impressions
$6 Glade Sense & Spray
$2.49 Scope
$2.99 Duracell
-1 off Skippy
-1 off Green Tea
-3 off Glade Lasting Impressions coupon
-4 off Glade Sense & Spray
-1 Scope
-1 Duracell
-5/$25 CVS coupon
-10 EB earned above

Total: $2.48 OOP + tax + $10 EB earned

Not too shabby for around $6. I think this whole CVS thing keeps getting easier and easier every week.

For anyone interested in the Energizer Batteries there is a coupon available on the Energizer website for $1 off one package. I was able to print it two times.

I did pretty good tonight, since John Frieda was still on sale tonight, I bought 4 for $20, used the Holiday earn $4 card, used two $3/2 mfgs. from a Walgreens tear pad and paid $14 in extra bucks and earned $14 back. I love that shampoo/conditioner, but not as much as the green Fruitopia.

Then I did the CoverGirl Olay deal and paid $3 OOP after using the extra buck from the John Frieda.

Then I did Mountain Dew 4 12-packs for $10 and used my $10 CoverGirl Olay extra buck on that and just paid tax.

I also had one $1 Kleenex coupon from the flu coupon book left so got a free box and got 2 packages of cashews for $1.98 and used the $2/2 scanner coupon. I threw that in one of the above transactions.

THEN I went to another CVS and did the exact same thing on my husband's card, minus the Kleenex.

This week is more like it!!

Oh, I also got a BOGO CRT for Fruitopia and used that today (Sat.) since it's on sale for $2.59 each through tonight (and used a $1 green tag extra buck) and I did the Rimmel deal from last week with the All You $2 coupon and $1 CRT. I hate Rimmel mascara but since it was free after coupons/extra bucks, I'll put it in the women's shelter donate box. I'm sure they think I'm a nut, they get makeup and feminine products from me.

Thanks for the link! :flower3:
