Okay I bought a cuttlebug today. I used my 40% coupon at AC Moore so it was $50. Please tell me its easy to use.

If you can put the piece of paper on the proper side of the die, put it between the shims and turn a handle, you can do it.

If my 7 year old can boss... I mean, tell me how to use it, YOU CAN DO IT! :thumbsup2 I love my Cuttlebug!

Oh yeah, it's super easy to use. I could probably teach my almost 3 year old to use the "turny thing" as she calls it.

Awesome, I can't wait to play. Of course, I'm going out of town today so it's going to have to wait.

If you can use Sizzix stuff in a Cuttlebug, is the reverse true? Can you use Cuttlebug stuff in a Sizzix?

That's what I've read. I don't have either of these, but I am curious about them and am trying to decide if one of them should be on my Christmas wish list. I don't know what adapting plates or whatever you have to use to make this work. I think there was a thread about it on the Cricut boards, I can't remember if it's been a topic here. I'm just curious if you can use Cuttlebug stuff in the Sizzix because people have posted using Sizzix in a Cuttlebug.

I know I can use my cuttlebug dies on the Sizzix Big Kick but I haven't tried the regular Sizzix. I am so over that heavy piece of lug.....I gave away my sidekick..:confused3

Love love love my cuttlebug.

I use my Quickutz in it too. No problems. But I still prefer my pink squeeze for those.

After looking at the cuttlebug dies today, I would say yes, you can use the cuttlebug in the sizzix. The cuttlebug look like the same thickness as sizzlets, so maybe you might have to add a little cardboard to help with the pressure. I have not looked at the cuttlebug machine to see what kind of clearance it has. Some of the sizzix dies are pretty thick, so it would be best to measure before buying.

My red dies slide right through.

I don't have any of the Ellison BigZ (I think that is what they are called) dies.....so I can't answer about those.

OT- DS says I can't work on swaps right now......he doesn't mind the DIS:surfweb:

Still in the box. I bought it on Friday night and we left yesterday to scoot over to Tampa for the weekend and just got back so it needs to be rescued from my trunk

don't let the assebly overwhelm you...I'm just an email away.

when you get it out....you will see just how funny that statement is:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I almost needed help :D It was rough going there for a minute, screwing in the handle.

I was able to use the one embossing folder I bought without a problem, but now I want more!

I know...Is it not just the easiest thing you have ever used?

Ms has 40 percent off coupons this week but low and behold they are 25 percent off already.

I have been picking up some of mine online.

The other week at ACM they had some of the 4 pack of shapes on clearance for 4 bucks.....I got one of each.

The lady at Joann's yesterday told me that people have broke the plate when they used the Red Sizzix dies in the cuttlebug so be careful.

She said they said it can be done and some people have been able to do it but than a few has issues.

If I have problems with it, I stop and reposition and start over. I don't force mine. Maybe that helps.
