Cuttlebug cutting mat question

I have a Cuttlebug and I was wondering if all of the clear cutting pads bow over time or if I am doing something wrong. They still work, but I'm a bit obsessive and it bugs me. I can't figure out why they aren't just flat, they started out flat.

I still love my Cuttlebug because it cuts AND embosses and it's small and simple. I was just wondering if anyone else has this problem

The dies cut into the mats, so there's no way to keep them flat, I don't think. I try to turn them around so that maybe they'll re-flatten back the other way, but it doesn't really work.

mine do the same thing --- change them around turn them upside down and keep switching them after every cut --- I used some so much that they cracked --- and just bought replacement mats at michaels with a coupon.

Mine are still flat but I only use them to emboss.

I feel like an idiot. I got a cuttlebug for Christmas and the embossing folders are great but I can't figure out how to die cut. I can use a computer, my cricut and can't figure out the cuttlebug

Thanks - I didn't know all the things I could use on the cb or how to "sandwich" them. I have the dies/embossing folders that came with it and there's a metal/foam thing too. I bought embossing folders and know how to use those - it's the dies that are throwing me off

Here is a quick explanation for the cuttlebug dies. Take the thick white block and place the thicker of the 2 clear blocks on top of it. Then place the die with the metal side down. Place your paper choices on the foam side. Use the thinner of the 2 clear blocks on top. Put through machine. The clear plastic blocks will get marks in them and curl up over time. You should be able to buy replacement blocks at the local scrapbook store. Hope this helps.
