Cute places to take engagement photos at Disneyland?

So I got a photographer (yay!) Thanks to all the lovely people who helped me with that. Now I am looking for suggestions on where to take photos. My photographer is not super familiar with Disneyland and to be honest, the last time I went was in the third grade, ditto my fiance.

I have already planned to get photos on the teacup, carousel, and dumbo rides. There is also a wonderful photograph that I've seen of a couple standing in front of a dark blue wall with the words "And they lived happily ever after" written in large shiny sparkly text. Does anyone know where this is?

Any other suggestions are welcome! :flower3:

That wall is in the exit to the giftshop at the Art of Animation Building at California Adventure. It seems like every time we're there, we see a couple needing help being photographed next to it! :thumbsup2

We did a photo session in Disneyland and liked the following spots:

  • Castle (of course!)
  • Small garden to the left of the castle as you face it
  • New Orleans Square (esp. Court of Angels courtyard with staircase... if they haven't crammed a souvenir stand in there...)
  • Swiss Family Treehouse
  • Courtyard/queue for Aladdin's Oasis
  • Tiki Room
  • Stage in Tomorrowland
  • Autopia
  • Train
  • Toontown

Hey, thanks! I'll pass the compliment along. Glad I could help!

We took lots of photos on Main Street and all around the castle, tons at the Court of Angels, and also around the area next to Zocalo restaurant which is a Spanish style courtyard. We also rode Mark Twain, Dumbo, and Astro Blasters. Then we went over to DCA for the Once Upon A Time and Happily Ever After signs.

There are so many great places, you will not have trouble finding picture opportunities!

I've started thinking about this myself lol. Id like to take pictures where not a lot of people are taking them at. For example, you can try to take some in Pixie Hollow. I havent really seen any pictures in that part of Disneyland yet. I know I plan on getting some taken there if i can just because I LOVE tinkerbell. Plus everything is ten times bigger then you so you could come up with some pretty cool and fun photos. Another idea I had was to maybe take some on your favorite ride. Take a couple on yours, and then take some more on his favorite ride. Can't wait to see your engagment photos, there are sooo many great places to take them! Hope you two have fun :thumbsup2

Casey Jr.s' is a great place. You can be inside of the Monkey cage.

Storybookland. I've found that the CMs there LOVE engagements on that attraction so I assume they'd be great for photos, too.

Autopia, but only if it is a slow day. I can't imagine them being able to slow down the loading, but the shot would be great.

The monorails. There is place on the platform (inside the park) where you have have the cone in the background.

Tom Sawyer's Pirate Island. (I forget the current name/theme.) The water wheel is pretty.

Jungle Cruise. So much foliage in the background!
