Cute or boot rug?

What is all this talk about the cute or boot bear rug? I have not been on VMK or Dis for a very long time and I seem to be out of the loop on this one especially...

The bear rug is just a furnishing sold for 1000 credits in the Golden Horseshoe
Shop. It's not called the "cute or boot bear rug".

The only reason "cute or boot" is linked to the rug was due to a poll VMK
had right before it went on sale. Players voted (by purchasing special
tshirts in the Emporium) "cute" or "boot", which allegedly determined
whether VMK would release the rug for sale.

Since more people bought the "cute" tshirt, VMK released the rug.
