Cute Countdown Calendars?

Hi all!
I am fairly crafty and wanted to make something for my daughter to help us count down. I don't want to do just a chain though, as I think our 1 year old will destroy it.

Has anyone made anything they want to share pictures of?

Here's two of ours. We've done them up for our two youngest (6 and 12). This first one is on the wall in our stairway, and are the paint chips from home depot. (For my 6 year old)

This next one is in our kitchen over the patio doors, across the wall and doorway. The chain on this one I received from another Disser, and each chain has a specific Disney FACT written on it. This one is for my 12 year old.

Love the Mickeys! I can already see them on my fridge. Are these paint swatches? Where'd you get them?

This year I used Photoshop to make 4X6ish cards with a clip art pic of a character, or a pic from last year's trip, and a # (from 1-100). For the last 10 days, I did 5X7 pics from our trip of some of our favorite moments, and just put the number right on the pic. Then I laminated the whole thing. I figure DS can use them as cool number flashcards when we're done with the countdown. I also made an arrow with a Mickey head on it, and a little rhinestone.

Last year, I made 100 Mickey and Minnie heads with numbers.

We have the Mickey head paint samples as well. My kids take turns putting up a Disney-themed sticker to cover the numbers as we count down.
