Cut through between IOA and US?

I friend of mine said they thought there was an entrance way between the two parks so you don't have to go out and around to get the other park.

Anyone heard of this?

That has only happened during a few HHN years. Only Universal TMs can access these pathways during normal operation.

What they might have been refering to is the pathway from Universal that goes from the area between Jimmy Neutron and the large store out to the Blue Man Group building and over to Hard Rock Cafe. You still have to go around from there to get to IOA.

I always thought it would be cool if they had a ride (a roller coaster?) that you could board in either park and exit in the other.

There are all sorts of sound reasons why this would never happen, and RRR now blocks the obvious route, but still it woulda been cool.

curious, other than staffing issues; any reason why they don't have a walkthru for guests ? noticed the gate in suessland during HHN, would be such a time saver imo if permanently accessible

It is extremely labor intensive to maintain the walkthru. It is technically possible because we do it for HHN, but it requires walking about a city block 'backstage'. There are a number of liability issues involved including crossing a functioning backstage street, a functioning studio production area and numerous hazards from set pieces, staff privacy issues, production crew privacy... it ain't a-happenin!
