Cut off age for Kids Meals?

Anybody know if there's an age limit on the kids' meals offered at Disney restaurants? My just-turned-11 DS is very tall for his age, but is also a very picky eater. He still orders off of the kids menu at restaurants at home, and that's always plenty for him. I have occasionally seen Kids Menus marked as 10 and under and just wondered what Disney's policy is and if they enforce the age limit. I've often wondered why they ask for kids ages when we make PS', so that made me think about this. We always have 2 adults ordering full meals and two other kids as well, so it's not like the restaurant wouldn't be making some good money off of us. It's almost a waste of money even buying a kids meal for him.....the thought of paying for an adult entree for him would be a huge waste. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I don't think he will have a problem. Other reports on here seem to indicate that Disney pretty much is okay with anyone ordering whatever they want.

As an 11 year old - he's all set anyway. Disney's policy is 12 and up for adult pricing.

My middle daughter is extremely tall for her age - when she was 10/11, I always brought a copy of her birth certificate just in case.

As far as the table service/counter service restaurants are concerned - most will allow you to order off the children's menu at any age - I haven't had any trouble with this even with my 15 year old.

As far as fixed menu and buffet restaurants - you pay by the age, no matter what or how much they eat. At 11, he is still legally a child for dining purposes.

My 17 year old DD eats off the kid's menu all the time. She is also a very picky eater. I always check with our server before ordering to make sure there are no problems. In all my visits to WDW, not one server has said that she could not order off that menu. In fact, at ESPN, our waiter told us that "Everyone is a kid at Disney World."

I've order a kid's meal at counter service for myself. I hate to be wasteful with food.

We order kids meals off of the counter service menus all the time, and we're 22 and 23! Haven't tried it at any of the sit down restaurants yet, though, because the kids menus are usually uninteresting to us there.

Should be no problem. Our DS is 13 and looks alot younger ,but when they ask his age we are honest. At BC character breakfast we told him he was 13 and they still only charged him as a child. I have asked for kids meals for myself at fast food and no problem ever.

This may seem a bit shady, but when my youngest brother was 9 or 10, and my sister was 13 or 14, he wanted the prime rib off the adult menu, and she wanted the chicken tenders off the kids' menu. So they each ordered "age-appropriate" meals, then switched! I was amazed at how well-orchestrated the whole thing was, LOL.

Thanks to all.....now I don't need to wonder if I'm breaking some rule! I keep hoping some day he'll be less picky....I won't even mind paying for adult entrees for him then.....just seems a waste to pay for something he won't eat. Thanks again!

I order off the kids menu all the time and Im a fat 22 year old! :p Honestly, I do.

My concern is buffets. Our 12 yr. old DS hardly eats anything at
buffets (not enough 'junk' [popcorn, hot dogs, ff, etc.] food)
but we, the parents, love the buffets. He might pick at rolls,
a little mac. & cheese and at breakfast, a bowl of cereal.
Can we still pay for a child, it does kill me to pay such a high
price for him and he eats nothing....but I don't want to give up
Boma, Crystal Palace, Cape May. Suggestions?
