last year i brought along moleskin and it really helped but i didnt bring a scissor (because of airport hassles) so i had to buy one at a drugstore. this year we arent renting a car and wont be able to go to a drugstore. has anyone ever cut the moleskin in assorted sizes beforehand? ::MinnieMo

I thought they were making it in different sizes but I can't tell you where to get it. When we need to cut a pieve off we just went to register and asked to borrow theirs. Or you can just cut it into little strips before you leave, thats what we did last time.

I haven't seen assorted size moleskin before. Last time I forgot scissors to cut it and had to ask a CM at the check in desk if I could borrow hers ~ it wasn't a problem. This time I thought I would cut it up ahead of time and put it ina ziploc baggie or bring a small pair of safety scissors with us (in my checked luggage) to cut it as we need it.

This is our main item that we NEVER forget. I usually try to cut ours at home to the shapes we want.

You can put scissors in your checked baggage. I do all the time.

For those who do not know what moleskin is, it is something that you put on "hot spots" to keep blisters from forming. It is sticky on one side and very soft and fuzzy on the other. It is sold with the foot care products at most stores. We put ours on the bottom of our feet to keep them from getting sore.

Hope this helps.

What is a moleskin? It sounds gross!

It's just a piece of foam padding that you stick on your foot to prevent blisters. You can find it at drugstores in the foot section. Walmart has them too.

I usually just pack a small folding scissors like this:

in my carryon and it goes thru security just fine.

From experience I know exactly where on my feet I'm going to need moleskin so I cut it here at home. I put most of the pre-cut pieces in a little sandwich bag which goes into my toiletries bag but I put a few pieces in the little purse I carry to the parks just in case I forget to put the moleskin on before leaving the hotel and need to put it on after I get to the park.

We might have to try this stuff. I seem to always get blisters on my feet after a lot of walking.

I LOVE moleskin! Last summer, I brought moleskinbut no scissors. I asked a CM at RnR and she graciously lent me her scissors for a moment. No problem. So if you forget, CM's can always help! :wizard:

That's what I plan to do, too. I know where I always need it so I can cut some appropriately-sized pieces for that, but since you never know, I plan to bring some full sheets just in case.

Good suggestion re: packing folding scissors in your checked luggage!

where can i find those folding scissors? they are adorable! :cool1:
I bought mine over 10 years ago so I can't remember where I got it. You might try a fabric store or a needlework store or any other store that carries even a small selection of sewing supplies.

I always take sheets of moleskin into WDW. I have a small pair of scissors that I take also; I put the pointed end of the scissors into a wine bottle cork. Never had trouble getting these into WDW (carried in a zippered pouch with moleskin, bandaids, emery board, a few advil) but ALWAYS put them into checked baggage for the flight.

I always cut moleskin ahead of time at home
I just cut into 1" or so sqaures that seems to cover whatever needs done with no problem

You can put scissors into checked luggage. I was planning on bringing some folding scissors, too. I found some moleskin in a tube that looked like a good thing to throw into a pack to carry in the park.

Me TOO! My DH always gets them!
Thankyou for the great thread.
