Ok so we all know that Disney has made some cutbacks due to the Shanghai Park being over budget... but has anyone noticed any NEW things Disney has added (that isn't an up-charge)? I am curious if its all just take, take, take, and no give. Also, after Shanghai opens and is successful, do you think Disney will bring back the things they have taken away, OR will Disney figure "hey, we got away with out it, lets just keep it this way now" Or maybe they bring back these perks with an up-charge? Thought this may be a very helpful and interesting topic...

There's no definitive way to know the answer.

We do know that in the past, many things that have been cut back or dropped have not been restored.

I personally thing more has been added or will be added then taken away: new character greetings replacing old ones, Rivers of Light, Soarin, Norway stuff, Star Wars fireworks. But this is my opinion.

pmaurer74, I completely agree! Disney is just being careful because they are going through a HUGE construction phase. The next few years are going to be amazing for Disney fans

This is very true, and unfortunate :(
However, I also follow "Big fat panda" and he's been talking about a bunch of new items that he's noticed that are being added free of charge as things are being cut back. It would be nice to have a thread that discusses all these things so people can actually see that even thought things are being taken away, some things are being added without the additional up-charge.

A new character replacing an old one is not an addition. It is a zero sum equation. The "additions" in Norway (Arendelle?) are refurbishments and relocations. Soarin' is an upgrade to more screens to handle more people in a low capacity ride, as is Toy Story's third track. While these MAY make one's experience better, they are not technically additions. RoL and the Night Safari I'd consider additions. Star Wars fireworks is really more of an extension of something that was popular from Christmastime. Anyway, I especially don't see additions if they're not creating jobs where they've cut back on jobs. Where will the people that monitored the Wishes FP area work now? The "friend" of a character can very easily become friends with another character. If we're talking net outcome, I don't see the additions until Pandora, Star Wars, and Toy Story open up. YMMV

Park hours for MK have been cut. MK closes at 8:00 or 9:00pm, except on MNSSHP nights. Of course, it closes at 7:00 pm on party nights. :(

I do agree with all of this, but does anyone know any REAL new additions, such as the cinderella and prince charming ballroom dancing at the Grand Floridian in the Lobby?
