Hey! DF and I had been in debate on whether we were gonna do the DP and decided that we would really like to provide our guests with this experience. Since we will be a group of 46 - I'm gonna need to customize a menu. Ideally I would like to provide maybe 2-3 desserts - we don't need the coffee, teas, and all that. I know there are many different options for desserts, but I would like to hear any recommendations, prices and pictures. The wedding is this November (early in the month) - would appreciate any responses :goodvibes

Also, if there are any budget friendly tips in regards to the DP, please let me know :goodvibes

My understanding is that there is a $23 pp charge minimum for a DP. I think your best bet is to come up with a sample menu and ask your planner what the pp charge would be.

Good luck!

They can really work with you on what you want. We picked the Float and sundae bar and added churros to our menu. Is there a particular dessert from disney that you love or want on your menu?

The tea and coffee comes with the DP. I was suprised at how many of my small group drank the tea and coffee.

I customized my menu. Hubby and I just chose the items that we and what we thought our guests would like from the various items from all the menus. The least expensive standard DP menu is $23.

Here is a link to the menu I was provided, while this is subject to change for both items and price it will give you an idea:

OOOOOo Churros....I have been wondering if they would allow us to add those! I look forward to Churros whenever I go to WDW! YAY!!! :wizard: Was it an extra charge to add churros, or did you replace it for something else? Also, does anyone have any advice on the DP menu for their post-reception - by not having TOO much sweets for everyone...I feel like cake, ice cream, and even more sweet crap is just a bit much...? (and don't recommend we don't do the DP, we are doing the DP because of the fireworks show and that will never change! :)

What about fresh fruit with fondue? Or sorbet? Or... hmmm... I'm bad at this—I can only think up super-sweet stuff!

Good point, even though we will have a gap of 3 hours before our DP - I would like to balance it out from the sweets the guests will be having at the reception...LurkyLoo - the fresh fruit and sorbet sounds good, that is a good option I could have on there for those who don't want the sugar rush, me, I'll take the sugar :goodvibes

DF and I have never really had the sweets at WDW, so I'm basically going off of items that seem to be a hit with past brides. The Chocolate and Caramel brownies Ive heard seem to be pretty popular and it looks amazing :goodvibes

We replaced the the floats with the churros. We are so excited. Churros are DF's favorite dessert so he said he had to have them. I'd be more then willing to post how it goes after next week.

Is that the most recent menu for the DP? Looks like it changed a bit....no more brownie sundae option? :(
