Custom vs. Intimate

Another question!!

Okay, so I downloaded the Disney Wedding E-book and have been reading through it. It looks like the Intimate Wedding itself is About 3k (we'll say) and then you pay for the dessert party or whatever you want. HOW MUCH is that??

Reading about the Custom wedding it looks like that's about 7.5k. BUT Everything you buy counts towards it...Including the dessert party (should you choose to have one) as long as it's the day of the wedding.

Anyone know how correct this is?? Which is a better deal??? I had been going with the assumption that Intimate + Dessert Party would be cheaper than Custom + Dessert Party...but now I'm confused since with custom it goes towards your minimum payment.

It basically depends on how many people you want. If you are only have a few people, go with the intimate. Over 15...you need to have a custom.

The minimum for a custom wedding has been increased from $7500 for a weekday wedding to $10,000 for a weekday wedding. If you are having a small enough guest list to have an Intimate Wedding, that will be the less expensive way to go. Happy planning!

that's correct the minimum has now been increased to $10,000 for custom weddings mon-thurs, $15,000 for fri & sun & $20,000 for saturday.

an intimate wedding or even an add on wedding (if you have rooms/tickets booked on your own) is good if you have a smaller guest list under 15 but you have to book a reception/dinner or dessert party on your own. receptions are not included with an intimate wedding. we're having a custom wedding, 55 guests & it is working well for us & what we want out of our big day.

also with the dessert party there are stipulations at the locations you can have them at based on your number of guests. uk has the smallest minimum of i believe 25 guests, although i have heard of smaller groups paying a small party fee. the dessert parties range in price based on your number of guests, there's a $12.50 fee pp to view illuminations if guests dont have tickets for that day and a minimum of $17.50 pp food & beverage. our dp will be alittle over $2,000 for the upper french island.

ACK! I didn't realize they upped the price for the Custom! What boogers. Okay, looks like we'll probably go with the Intimate + Dessert reception! Thanks!!
