Custom Sweatshirts?

Ok, I'm trying to surprise my family with screenprint sweatshirts of the resort we go to every summer. The resort itself does not sell anything as it's a super small family owned business with only a few cabins up north. I spoke with the owner a couple years back as she had on a sweatshirt with the name on the front and she said that her SIL had them made.

I asked her if she minded if I just had the name screen printed on the front of a some sweatshirts for our family and she graciously told me she would LOVE for me to do this for our family as her family loved theirs!

Now, I just need to find out how/where I can have them made that's not going to cost me an arm and a leg.

Any suggestions? I only need 5 and really don't want to spend a ton on them. I'd either like screenprint (I could even provide the sweatshirts) or have them embroidered, either way.

Anyone know anyone/smaller business that would be able to work with me?

Look for the local company that makes all the shirts for the ball teams (softball, baseball, soccer, etc). DH had the local lady make him tons of stuff before she sold out and moved away. She'd even do a single shirt and her prices were more than reasonable. They weren't screen printed, but they looked great.

You could try an online store, www.customink.com. They have a nice selection of shirts and you can custom create your own art work. They were pretty reasonable, I thought.

Thanks for the suggestions! I think i'm just going to call a local printing shop to see what they can do.

I tried several online ones but the sweatshirts ended up being over $45.00-$50 a piece which to me is a bit too much.

do you have an "Embroidme" near you?

They are WONDERFUL to work with, and in any quantity!

This is a franchise, and I know there are several in the Milwaukee area. Perhaps there is one near you?

Ours will embroider on things that you pruchase elsewhere. There is a process that they use to do a silk-screen thing on small quanitites of shirts, but I don't think it is exactly sil-screening. (We had several t-shirts done last year for a team that I was a coach for) We found the pricing to be reasonable, the service fast, and the people who own it to be really nice.
