the brand of paper I am using is Avery...Regular color ink from my printer....the avery paper comes with very specific instructions on how to iron it on....anything else i think of i will let you know!!

Oh and I have used ribbed tanks for both of my Tink tanks. I just Iron it on and then "break the pictures" by lightly stretching across the ribs and iron again. it works pretty well but i will admit it can be tricky.

I used Avery paper as well. I bought it from Staples. I did ruin one shirt the first time because it was ribbed and the iron-on didn't look right. For some reason on the shirt that I ruined, the transfer also yellowed. I really have no idea as to why that happened. It was a smidge discouraging, but I gave it one more try. The hardest for me was finding a shirt that I liked, but wasn't too expensive since I wouldn't get a lot of wear out of it. As far as designing the shirt, that was the most fun of it all. I started out with a red font then moved to blue. I even had to play around with the circles in autoshapes (MS WOrd) to make my Mickey Heads on my hemline. I did a lot of cutting and pasting. I was really lucky to have been given the website for good clipart because it worked the best and was easy to resize. If you really want to go beyond basic customizing, I would do it. You would only waste a few bucks and if you are going to Disney, you already know what it feels like to waste a few bucks (And not mind) !!!

You can personalize shirts on disney store's website. They let you write your own saying. Go to a clothing and then the appropriate catagory for you. Then, select shirts.

Does anyone have instructions for making a tied dyed shirt... and do you know if we could then turn around and iron on to it?

I put Mickey heads on my shirts, also, but I found out by accident a fast way to do them. I downloaded the Disney font (I think the one from tagrel.com) & found out it includes a character map of different letters & such...one thing on the map is a Mickey head. That version of the font has an automatic resizer included so it made it easy as a click to enlarge or reduce the size of Mickey's head...and for me, easy is the way to go!

I ordered fabric iron on appliques. These are handmade from Disney fabric. Very cute. Look just like the pictures and the vendor was great to order from. Received them in about 10 days.

I iron them on and then embellished them with craft paint. My DD and I have coordinating T-shirts for our weeklong vacation in June. For less than $100 I did 16 shirts and 2 nightshirts to sleep in. This included the cost of the blank T-shirts (got them on sale at Michael's - 2 for $5.00), paints (.99 each) and the appliques - $32.00 and some change including S & H.
