Is anyone aware of the dates that the weekday minimum is less than $10,000? I read on disneyweddings.com that some days are less and some days are more.

Normally, the weekdays are the least expensive days, while the weekends are the most expensive. However, there are certain days of the year when the price is even more expensive than usual and it doesn't matter what the day of the week is (for example, New Year's Eve, Valentine's Day, etc.).

Your choice of meal plays an important role in your budget. A wedding brunch would normally be less expensive than a wedding dinner. Also, consider having a buffet meal as opposed to a sit-down meal. The sit-down meals are more expensive since they are more involved. And don't forget that your reception venue will dictate what minimum fees apply. A meal at the BoardWalk is probably going to be less expensive than a meal at the Grand Floridian (the Grand Floridian has higher minimum food & beverage fees).

Definitely discuss any budgetary concerns with your FTW Sales Manager or Event Manager. They will be able to tell you what you need to do in order to have the wedding of your dreams for a price that you can afford. They are a wealth of information that is just waiting to be tapped.

I hope that helps a little bit. And have fun planning!

For events that begin prior to 2:00 PM, the food & beverage fees are normally less expensive. For the events that begin after 2:00 PM, the fees do go up (sometimes, quite a bit).

Don't forget that Disney adds on a 20% service charge and then a 6.5% sales tax to just about everything. Those fees do add up.

We are having a 9am wedding on a Monday at SBP with a 10am prereception/reception at Ariel's. We are having a buffet brunch. This helped us save enought to have a Illuminations Dessert Party on our wedding night at UK Lower Terrace. Another thing is we are using outside vendors such as Randy Chapman - photography; Kyla Feely of A cut Above - Videography; Emily of Charming Events - floral & ceremony/reception design.

To my knowledge there is not a time when the min is less than 10,000. M-Th before 2 is 10,000 min fri bf 2 is 15 and Sat is 20 after 2 goes up

May I ask what Charming events actually did for you? Did they do all your floral? Linens? Provide seating? Their site is a little vauge on the services they actually provide... Also, how did Disney deal with you using an outside vendor for all of this? (Sorry for all the questions!)

Hope this helps.....Emily is extremely friendly & helpful, as well as easy to work with. My fiance & I had a courthouse ceremony a few weeks ago (he is in the military) and as a suprise my sister & mom had a bouquet & bout made for our ceremony. They were beautiful. She put mickey head pearls in stephanotis along with ivory roses.

Oh and Disney had no problem with me using outside vendors, I told them up front, Disney didn't even try to offer their photography, video or floral. My Em said no problem as the 2 outside vendors I chose have worked with Disney many times.

I spoke with my EM yesterday and she said the lowest Minimum was $10k, this is for any custom wedding Monday - Thursday.

Also the minimum does not go up after 2pm but the food and beverages minimums go up!

I think what the intention of the statement on the website is that certain weekdays are actually higher than 10,000... such as holiday weekends or Valentines day, etc.
