I am going to start with Weight Watchers and am trying out curves this evening....I wanted to know if you all signed up on a yearly basis or on a month to month basis..

All feedback would be greatly appreciated:):)

Thanks
Vivig

I signed up for a year, with automatic debit/payment. I mainly did it for the $10/month savings (month-to-month being more expensive), but I also thought that signing up for a year would help me stay motivated to work out.

Here I am almost a year later (8/12/04 is my "anniversary"), and I still love my Curves workouts! I'm planning to keep up my workouts after my year signup has expired - apparently I can go to month-to-month now for the same price.

Have a great time at your "tryout" tonight! :teeth:

Thanks very much for the information.

May I ask how quickly you noticed a difference after you started working out?

It sounds like you loved it...

I really enjoyed myself and the workout tonight. They gave me a free workout for a week to try..and then I will join it seems like a good fit for me:)

Thanks again for your feedback...it's so nice to hear from others who have tried a program and to receive their thoughts.

I also signed up for a year with the auto payment each month. It's only been 2 weeks since I started, and so far I really like it. Since they only check your measurements once a month, I have no actual proof yet that I've lost inches... But I could swear that I have! ::yes:: I've also been following the WW plan and have lost 4.2 pounds in the last 2 weeks! :Pinkbounc

I felt stronger and more energetic after just a couple of weeks, and I definitely saw the results at my first month's measure & weigh - 13.5 pounds and over 20 inches! Keep in mind that I was really big when I started, so the weight came off faster at the beginning. I was also doing other exercise in addition to Curves - walking each morning, and taking a bike ride with DH each Sunday.

I do love Curves! It has been a great addition to my healthy living plan, and I know I'm keeping (and building) muscle as I lose fat. Even a year later, I still get a great workout each time - but I always make a point to push myself hard on the machines. You get out what you put in!

I'm glad you enjoyed your first workout. I hope your trial week is just as great!

I'm also w/ the 1 year plan. I started in Feb for 2 to 3 weeks was out of town w/o work outs for 2 weeks. Had a lot of stress. So my first weigh in, I gained 4 pounds.

If you go from that point on, I've lost ~10 pounds since mid March and 12". I'm not dieting ot any extreme, but am eating healthier and watching what I eat to some extent. I have a lot more energy, feel a lot more toned and I do liek the work outs. (OK, sometimes, I don't want to go, but I feel SOOO much better after I do.)

Paying automoatically was a good motivator for me too!

Thanks to you all...you all sound like you are very motivated and that the results are showing...now if I could be as motivated that would be great!

I am probably going to join on a yearly basis next Wednesday...

Thanks again for all the great info...

Hi,
I have been going to curves since Feb and I have lost 17 pounds and 20 inches. I can wear a size 14 again. I love going to Curves each day and it doesn't seem like excercise at all. I hope you have the same success. Oh, I joined for the year also and pay a monthly fee.
