cursing

If I cursed in front of my mom, she'd kick my butt hard. Ha. So I try not to, at least outside my head (where I curse a fair bit) or if any of the family's around. Saves trouble.

It doesn't bug if other people curse in moderation -- thoguh y'all are right about people who swear every other word being annoying-- but if they do it in front of my little sister, it will bother me.

I don't swear at home, but when I'm with my friends.. it gets a little 'sweary'. It's like how some people say "man", "like" or "whatever" all the time. Unfortunately for me it's swearing sometimes.

I remember when I went to Florida once and I was talking to this American girl and she was shocked that I swore so much. She thought British people were stiff upper-lip and posh and basically never swore.. I was like "WAAAAH? NAWW @!'3#3?>.#@!!"

i don't really curse b/c i'm a christan! and i only say the C word when it slips my mind!

So non-christian people are the only ones who curse?
To me, that's what your sentence is saying.

curse words are more degrading than normal words, I'm just guessing that society has deemed those "inappropriate" words. Don't ask questions about it, just follow whatever rules are given to you, it makes life a lot easier.

I agree with you that society just deemed them inappropriate, but I think it's right to question rules like this.
Does that mean you should go out into the street and just scream curses? No, because many people do find them inappropriate, taht's just blatantly disrepectful.
But you should just think about it.

Honestly, I don't think this is a venting thread, it's more philosophical. Like, how can humans deem some words "bad" as opposed to others, when we're the ones who created those words in the first place?

At least that's what I got from it, anyway.

i dont curse yes i may think it but as a 12 year old i dont think it is appropreit for when i sayy and get in troulbe but a 7 year old cusing at his grandparent. i may use it if ppl say it to me so my mother knos i say what ppl say at scool but other than tellin my mom i dont. i may listen to it but if i get the chance for on itunes i bye the clean version
also swearing it is not good

i swear sometimes
but never the n word
that makes me sad when people use that
i dont know really know why that word bugs me most but it does
its like i thought we got over the racial slangs a while ago, people.

i have a potty mouth because i hang around with potty mouths
it's just kind of a fact

If you're referring to the C word being crap, it's fine for me.
The other C word, which ends in a T, whenever someone uses it, I totally lose my respect for them.

I only say the S word. I only say it when something surprises me to. I used to curse a lot but then you find out how rude it is and how dumb you sound while saying it.

I also hate vulgar/sexual language. I'm naturally uncomfortable talking about anything sexual (health class this year is killing me!), but I HATE when I hear someone's 'parts' referred to with the P or D word.
Not only is it gross and disgusting, it's degrading.

You kiss your momma with that mouth?

The only thing I never say is the c or n word.
But here, you can say anything you want without being yelled at or anything.
My mom swears though, so she never really had a problem when I did either.
But my mom isn't even here and nobody really cares...

if society was right like so many people think we wouldnt have most of the problems we have.

YUP ::yes::

I find swearing very immature, and I hate when people swear every other word, and then they think they're cool. News flash, you aren't so stop!!!

i dunno about your god, but i'm pretty sure my god has bigger things to think about than my use of profanity.

being a christian has nothing to do with swearing.
