Ok so it's 3:32am jet leg has officially kicked in, im wide awake so I thought I do a post.

I had read recently about the refrigerators being fine in the AOA resort and that it was not affected by the fault, it was and we do not have a fridge, it's not really the end of the world to us any way though, but thought I'd let others know just incase!

I remember reading when he resort first opened about the aircon and the rooms not being cold enough! They are perfect! Yes the aircon goes off at times but then come back on again (almost like its on a timer) but honestly it's like it's keeping the room at the perfect temperature.

The bed are extremely comfortable, all 3 of us were awake and chatting just now and commented on how soft they were!

The room is lovely and clean and sooooo quirky I can't fault it!

Also the walk!! we are the furthest out, block 8 of little mermaid, it's fine and not a long walk in the slightest, it took us 10 mins to get to the buses and animation hall, shops etc and we stopped to take pictures!

Overall we have only been here a few hours and I can say its perfect :-D happy days!

Fantastic! We'll be in a mermaid room for 2 nights. Im so looking forward to it! Shame about the fridge but im really glad you are impressed overall. Have a fab holiday!!! Look forward to reading about it

Nice. We are staying AoA as well in a Family Suite and I was told by Dis that they have refrigerators in the suites...so I hope so because my son needs one for his milk. Anywho...I'm super excited...

There is a note on the fridge saying about if you need one then to go to the front desk and they can accommodate for you, so that's nice to know, especially if you need it for milk or medication! we are not fussy and do not need one particularly, yes it would have been a nice extra but overall it really won't effect our trip what so ever :-)

I am doing a live trip report over on the trip reports board :-) feel free to check it out!

I don't know how to link it though but it's titled:

Just because we cannot see it, doesn't mean we can't believe it.

:-)

Thanks for the update.....I reluctantly booked Aoa for our next trip as the kids are busting to stay there..... I must say the more I rad I am loving the resort myself! Can you post some room pics too..... We have booked 2 rooms at little mermaid section

we stayed at the Little Mermaid section in April, have to echo that the walk really didn't seem long to us at all. The aircon switching off was an issue for me though, but I do like the room extra cold!!

here are some room pics - I've loads more if you want to see them!

and a few more - shows the curtain you can draw between the bathroom area and the room

aww glad you are loving the resort. :cool1: We haven't stayed there but went to have a good ol' nose around last September and thought it was lovely. Especially love the CARS section. We didn't think any of the rooms were far away from the buses and food court either. You can be just as far away staying at the GF resort. Agree a fridge is a handy thing to have but we used to cope no problem at all before they fridges were standard in the moderate resorts so like you no big issue if it isn't there for us either.

Have a great holiday and looking forward to more updates and picciespixiedust:

Oh forgot to add...try some of the cupcakes in the food court....oh so yummy:goodvibes

Exactly my point! The walk is fine, I think In some cases people look for something to pick on, end of the day of your here in disney World your lucky to be here some people spend their entire life dreaming of coming here :-D

I will try a cupcake tonight when I get home or tomorrow morning :-D going for a healthy breakfast this morning, probably some fruit :-) I'm using this holiday as an ideal time to loose some more weight, I enjoy healthy foods so if there is a healthy option ill take it, and what with all the walking and sweating lol, I should be able to drop a few pounds (don't get me wrong though if I want something sweeter than sweet or something ultra greasy then I will have it as I'm on holiday and here to enjoy :-)

I shall keep updating!

Cannot believe its 5:53am and I woke up so early this morning here! This has never happened before haha, damn jet leg! Lol I shall post on my live trip report tonight when I get back from sea world :-)

Glad to hear you are enjoying AoA after reading various reviews I had become concerned about the walk and the air conditioning.

We will be their in 2 months time for our honeymoon!
