I am thinking of getting a small add on direct from Disney. (Yes, I know resale is cheaper. I got my initial contract resale - thanks in large part to the information I got on the dis boards. With a smaller contract, however, direct seems to have some advantages.)

I presume that if I purchased a December use year contract now I would get the 2011 points, correct? Would I also have to pay Disney the 2011 annual dues?

Thanks for the help.

Yes, you would get points from the current Use Year - which would be December, 2011 at this time. You could also still get contracts with an August, September or October Use Year and still get 2011 points.

As for annual fees, DVC has always prorated them for the current year based on the date of purchase - so if you purchased today you'd pay just under half of the 2012 fees. (Annual Maintenance Fees are always based on the calendar year and have nothing to do with the Use Year.)

Enjoy! :)
