I'm leaving in 11 days for my vacation and I'm thinking of reserving a cabana for a day during my stay, but I'm wondering what the weather has been like down there recently. Anyone from the area who can fill me in? I think I've heard that it's been really hot, but how about rain? Up here in NY, we've had one of the rainiest June's on record. I don't want to book a cabana for a day only to have it rain all day, so I'm wondering what the trend has been. Thanks.

It's a typical summer pattern with hot temps and afternoon thunderstorms...but the storms are really hit and miss. Don't look for the rain to cool anything down. Be prepared for hot and humid weather with high heat indexes. The summer storms in Orlando are wide spread with not everyone getting in on the action. I haven't had a good rain at my house in over a week and I live about 20 minutes from Universal.

Its been hot here this week since we have been here. The rain has been limited and very short, but after its very humid. This is normal for us since we live in Florida. Today we spent the afternoon at the pol under a couple of big umbrellas and ate lunch and went swimming, but was still manageable.
