Current weather/air quality in the parks?

We are headed down in 7 days and were wondering what the current air quality is like in the parks. With so many fires burning along the coastal areas of the state and the current heat wave hitting, we're trying to make our plans based on the air quality. Are the Santa Ana breezes blowing?

Weather is fine, the fires are buring about 350+ miles north of DL. almost like as if it were in another state. LOL

Thanks for the info. I am about 400-450 miles north of DL, and the air here is nasty (we've got smoke from the fires in the northern part of the state, as well as smoke blown in from Big Sur area). Wasn't sure the wind direction down south to know if the Santa Barbara area fires were effecting the parks right now (my kiddos have breathing issues in poor air quality). So I guess we'll be driving out of the smoke, into the smoke, and out of it again.

Yeah, we don't get the smoke down here but there's plenty of LA pollution. The nights have gotten a little cooler and winds do kick in here and there. It was so windy the other night that they had to cut fireworks short by a little. Just know that it's hot during the day (80s-90s) and gets cooler at night (low-mid 70s)

Thanks for the update. We're down in the DL area at least every couple of months (sometimes more frequently). We'd live down there if DH could handle the smoggy air (he's pretty sensitive to Ozone).

The smoke from the SB/Goleta fire is kind of hitting here. And we're still north of DLR, so DLR should be fine. I do have a lot of ashes on my car though.

I'm at DLR right now. The weather was clear and in the upper 80's. It was warm pushing a double stroller around but otherwise just fine.

I'm from the Sacramento area (Granite Bay), so I understand your smoke and air worries.

I am SO glad I am here now instead of at home. My DH said it was 111 today and very smoky! Yuck!

Yuck is right! My DH just sent me a note from China & said it was 20 degrees cooler there! It is hardly ever cooler in China this time of year.
