Looking to find out if wait times for Gringotts have gone down. We are going in 3 weeks and really hope it's not as bad as I'm hearing. Thanks.

It has been at least 2 hours. Best time to go seems to be late afternoon around dinner time. Don't wait until evening because they close the line early.

I was there last Thursday 7/17 at around 530 and it was posted at 180 minutes and they had the single rider line closed.

Lately, wait times have been about 2-3 hours with single rider under 1 hour.

However, they are still ramping up the capacity. Some days it is only one load side and 3 or 4 cars but other days it is both load sides with 6 or 7 cars. All this means to me that the waits will be dropping as the days and weeks pass.

It will be interesting to see what happens when USF closes at 5pm for HHN. Will they shut off the line at 3? Wow! We'll be at Universal during HHN, and that will stink!

It was 150 minutes around 5:30pm today before the rain began.

Got on Gringotts in under an hour Saturday. We left HRH at 6:30 am and walked over. They were letting people in before 7:00 am. Got in line for Gringotts and was prepared for the long haul but to my surprise, the line kept moving. They were loading both sides of the ride so I think that was helping. Had plenty of time to do all of Diagon Alley before the crowds started building.

That is part of the reason we booked our trip in September before HHN starts...and it just worked with our schedule. I don't want to lose any precious park time.

The android app thru TouringPlans.com

for apple search uor lines... the app didn't cost money but an in app purchase of a subscription did. its an awesome app though. it has all the menus off all restaurants and prices of every item as well and a few other features.

They still don't seem to be running at full capacity yet - averaging from 3-5 vehicles versus the nine it's designed for (at least, according to several of the "experts" twitter accounts). So, if they're running anywhere from 33% to 60% capacity during this pretty busy time (not counting downtime backups), there's another 40 up to 60% decrease in wait time coming once they can hit on all cylinders. October should be fine....

And yes, it took #Potterwatch and #DiagonAlley to finally break me down and force me into the 21st Century and actually get a twitter account, sad to say......

Yeah, and I was just getting used to my 8-track player after ditching the Victrola. I think I'll text DW and ask her what she wants me to cook for dinner - even though she's just down the hall.......;)

Is DW as fly as you? I hope so. Otherwise she might not hear the text notification due to chilling with her Sony Walkman...;)

Sony Walkman....? Who do you think got the Victrola......?

How are you tricking you phone into thinking it is at Universal. Sometimes I'd like to see what waits are but you have to be onsite for it to work. I use other apps but they all rely on people posting info as they are there also.

They mentioned an app that you can use "FakeGPS" (There are others) that allow your device to report anywhere you want (you point to a spot on a map, it tells all the other apps that you are there) For the Universal App, just set your point to a spot inside Universal.

It works pretty well, right now on the Uni app using this trick:

Dispicable me: 90
Spiderman: 80
Transformers: 90
Gringotts: 150
Popeye: 45
Jurrasic Park RA: 60
Ripsaw Falls; 90
Hogwarts Express: 30
Forbidden Journey: 45
