Hello,

Can anyone see if there is an end date to Virgin Holiday's 10% off online offer??? It's quite confusing as it looks like only certain dates and deals but when I put in the hol that we are planning in Jam 2011 it definitely knocks off 10%...

Just trying to get my family to commit to booking ASAP so need to know when offer ends - help!

Dear England friends
My family lives in NY but we will be in DW for the 4th of july. We wanted to leave DW on the 8th and go to London for a long weekend to visit my husband's Aunt who got a job transfer there. What airlines fly direct to Heathrow from Orlando? Any specials that you know of for July? Thanks so much for your help!
Stephanie

hi stephanie, british airways and virgin atlantic both fly direct from orlando, but they fly into gatwick airport, not heathrow. as you're going in early july, it'll be cheaper than if you went at the end of the month (our schools break up about the 3rd week of july), but its still likely to be quite expensive.

Thanks so much for the info! Is Gatwick in London? My husband's aunt lives in London and we are staying in her flat.

yeah, its just south of london, but there's a direct train link from the airport into london.

If you can get your hands on a sunday paper and check out the Virgin advert, the offer end date is in the small print. I did look and it was April but cannot remember exact date - could have been 8th. The summer 2011 offer lasts longer and the details of this are on the Virgin website which means I have longer to plan as we are going in May now, not Feb as originally planned. I am finding it really difficult to decide which hotel to book. :surfweb: This is me at every available moment.

Thanks Debwid, it is 8th April :goodvibes

But now I'm in a dilemma as heard that free dining is available in Jan/Feb next year with some operators and Disney/Virgin due to announce in the next week or so. I've been convincing myself that offsite will be fine but now I'm tempted to wait a bit and see what comes out - agh!!!

I know what you mean - this planning is soo difficult. I change my mind everyday almost

I've just been on phone to VH (UK call centre!) and they said that if there are free dining and any other offers they won't be available until the new brochure is released at the end of April, by which time the 10% discount would have ended. Frequent Virgin members can get 15% off at the moment but again, this would have ended by the time the new brochure comes out.
They could not give me exact details about what offers would be available as the operators are only told on the day the brochure comes out, just in case any of them tip off other tour operators about their offers. So it looks like at least another 3 - 4 weeks before we see anything from VH regarding free dining etc.

Nick

I seem to remember that VH often add a 10% deal at bank holidays - so they might have another one in May.

Thanks for all the info :goodvibes

I'm indecisive at the best of times tho so really should just learn to go for it!
