Current update on Tiger Fan (Lisa)

Lisa is now at her parents' home, recuperating from her latest surgery, abdominal exploratory surgery, to see about new tumors and biopsies. I did talk to her mom while Lisa was in surgery a couple days ago and was able to chat a bit with her, hoping to give what little comfort from a distance I could.

Lisa wrote to me tonight........

.....They did let me come home late Christmas Eve and I was so thrilled. Emily had been so worried that I'd not make it for Santa. We are currently staying at my parents. Logistically it just makes the most sense. We will most likely be here for a while. I can't really be alone and this way Lynn can go back to school once the break is over and mom and dad will be here (they work from home). There house is the best to work with too (1 story, larger, etc.). The bottom line on diagnosis it seems is muscle and nerve damage in the hip area and physical therapy will help that, but it will take a lot of time. There is also new tumors in the lumbar region of the spine that may be causing a compression fracture and putting a good bit of pain in that region as well. As for the stomach tumors we don't have the pathology reports back yet (Christmas made things go a little slower), but they hope by next week for sure. I'm healing up very well however. Thanks for all your prayers and support. Feel free to update anyone or the DIS, I always appreciate any and all support, prayers, PD that I can get. So, there you have it, our friend, Lisa, still can use lots of prayers and good thoughts. All appreciated, she has a tough road here.
