I'm going to start to pack this weekend, for our trip 9-29/10-06... what will the temps at night call for? Tiffany

I doubt it'll get below 60 at night while you're there.

When we were there in early October it was still HOT!

Why not go to the Weather Channel forecast for their 10 day outlook for Orlando ?!?!??! Gee, that's a thought. :dance3:

At best, it will give you an approximate idea of the daily temp highs and lows - subject to change, of course.

DONE THAT ALREADY JACK! But it did not help. Obviously the low comes in the early a.m. hours. When referring to packing I'm trying to get an idea does my family need long sleeves or a jacket? The breeze is that an issue? Wow, some people have nothing better to do!

Tiffany

No, you will not need long sleeves or pants for Orlando in September at any time of the day. The only time you could be cold is in a restaurant or indoor ride queue.

Is this done in jest? If so, maybe I'm reading it wrong. Otherwise, this is overly harsh for the OP's question, and unnecessary.

We've been to WDW at about your time of year, OP, several times and are getting ready to do it again in a couple weeks. We've never needed a jacket, long pants or anything like that outdoors that time of year. As another poster mentioned, some of the indoor spaces are quite cool, though.

If anything, we usually crave a breeze that time of year. The only time it's been too breezy for us in Orlando has been in winter when it sometimes doesn't reach 50 degrees for a high.

While we're on the topic of weather....can anyone (politely) tell me how bad humidity is in early October. We are a California family and in the past we have gone to the world in December so it wasn't an issue. Is it still pretty bad in October. :confused3

Generally it will definitely be more humid than CA. But humidity levels are quite a bit less than mid-summer in FL. Early in October, when we usually go, it can still be fairly sticky, but you might get a cool front blow through and dry things out. Later in October, when we went once, was about perfect for humidity, but I have a feeling it was probably a little less humid than usual for then.

I can say that I live in Southwest florida.. about 169 miles away from the World and the weather has started to change... it is still hot but there is a nice breeze now I can tell that the weather is starting to change... BTW we are heading to Disney 1 week from Sunday and we are bringing shorts and tank tops... HTH

we are goin during the sametime and I am packing short sleeves and shorts... I am however bring one lonesome lightweight jacket... just in case... if it gets any cooler while we are there then I guess I'll just have to buy something warmer!!!

And I thought that comment was TOTALLY UNNECESSARY! Just thought i would say so....

im going next week and was wondering the same thing. what i did was go on the weather channel site, put in orlando florida, and then put in hour by hour, they have it for 3 day stretches. :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

I'm 1 1/2 hours east of WDW & it's hot, humid & rainy. I watch the ABC affiliate www.wftv.com or the NBC affiliate www.wesh.com. They always give a week out for a forecast & I was able to see what next week looks like for our arrival - hot & 50% chance of rain. Exactly what it seems to have been for the last few weeks. I can't remember the last time I took a sweater or jacket to Disney - maybe in February..........:confused3

Enjoy your trip....................

Just returned today from visiting with the mouse. I must say that it was hot. The temps were 88-90, humid with an afternoon shower. Very much like August weather. Evenings weren't cool at all. Enjoy your stay.

Definitely hotter than usual. We went last year the same week and I remember it being fairly comfortable, not too humid. We're going almost the same dates as you are this year and I find it hard to believe that it will be as comfortable. We live in South FL, while I've noticed a breeze the past week or so in the morning, it's still been really hot the rest of the day and quite warm and humid at night.

Tonight I felt like you could cut the humidity with a knife it seemed so thick. But we've been having lots of rain so that will contribute to the humidity. The forecast doesn't look like it'll change all that much over the next week or 2. I plan to bring some jeans or yoga pants for night time and definitely shorts and tank tops for the day. I always bring a lightweight sweat jacket, but I'll also be sure to pack the rain ponchos.
