Can someone tell me the current rate per point for new purchase at the Boardwalk? We visited the Boardwalk DVC 2 years ago and I'm wondering what the going rate is now.

Also, can someone refresh my memory on the payment options to buy into DVC and if there are any yearly dues. I can't find our info we received.

Thanks for all replies!

$84 per point. Magic beginings for purchases over 100 points, brings the cost down to $74 by selling back your first years points.

So if we don't want to go the first year we buy in, we sell those points back and buy the points for $74?

We would need 125 points for a studio. So does this mean we would borrow $9250 (125 X $74) over so many years? Just trying to refresh my memory from 2 years ago.

Thanks!

ummm, I am guessing you are not a member yet? I am pretty sure you have to buy a minimum of 150 points. BWV points are going on sale to non DVC members June 1 (according to everything I have read/heard)

I can't help you on the financing part of it, we paid cash. I am sure someone with more knowledge will be along to help you out soon!

As a new member, you would need to buy minimum 150 points - the current resorts selling to new members are BCV and VB - with minimal and fast disappearing at VWL - the magical beginnings "rebate" at $10 would be applied as part of your down payment and you have to come up with at least another 10% - maximum financing is for 10yrs with the current rate at 9.75% or 10.75% depending upon debit/payment method

There is a good chance that by the time DVC offers BWV points to existing members that little if any will be made available to the general public

However if you buy a master at BCV/VB/VWL you can add on at BWV since they would consider you a member

thanks

We have an offer out for BWV resale - if we get it, it was a great deal!

When you use Magical Beginnings it's usually for a new contract that is about 6 months or so before your new pts--in other words, if you bought today your use year would be around December, so you would only have to wait about 6 months or so until you could use your new purchase. Of course, you could also borrow those pts back into this use year, and go to WDW in about three weeks:p There are also maintenance fees for the pts of about $4 per pt, depending upon the home resort you bought into. I think selling back your points counts toward your 10% downpayment, so on a new contract of about $12,000 your down payment is $1,200 minus Magical Beginnings, but I am not sure. It's been a few years since I've done this.....
