Current Promotional Tickets

I bought our tickets from AAA with the plans to upgrade to a seasonal pass once we get to the park. We'll be there in just over a week. With the current ticket promotion going on where Universal is offering a promotional ticket at a discounted price if you buy online (and have to use by September), how do they figure the price difference to upgrade? Will they take the regular gate price or use the lower discounted price that is going on now?

If the ticket says "promo" they will give you credit for only the lower promotional price.

Thanks! I haven't gotten our tickets yet, I have to print them when we get there but they should be regular tickets. I don't believe they'll say promo!

Please come back and let us know how it worked out for you. We're not going until next year but my plan is to get tickets through Air Miles and upgrade to a seasonal pass.
