What is the current promotion for Animal Kingdom Villas? Do you think it will stay the same with BLT going on sale?

Current AKV promotion is a credit of $8 per point that you can use toward your down payment, a "free vacation" which essentially means they will give you the same # of points that you purchase in developers points at Saratoga Springs and they have to be used by August 09 (i think), and a $500 gift card. As far as I know, this promo ends Sept 20.

Through Sep 20, buy at least 100 points (or more), get first allotment of points in 09 (although they might still have Dec 08 available), get $8 per point off $104 regular price, your AKV points can be used only for a trip that begins after April 30 (Kidani opens May 1), get 100 SSR developer points to fill in that gap and those must be used within a year at SSR or a Disneyland hotel, also get a $500 Disney gift card.

No official word yet on what happens after Sep 20; reports mention guides saying deal will be the same without $500 gift card.

We just bought last weekend...got $8 off per point, matching points to be used at either SSR, DL or II, must be used within 1 year, and a $500 gift card for mentioning a referral name...also we did get a Dec. use year, so we will get our first points this Dec. 1. My guide mentioned that these offers were only good until Sept. 20...haven't heard about any new offers after that date.

Really? I talked to a guide yesterday and she didn't mention that. So even if they're "full", they can still sell till the end of the month?

I believe the current incentive for the matching points is good through the use year you receive of next year- we were told if we bought now it would be Dec. use year and would receive Dec. 08 points, and the matching would expire Dec. 09.

AKV is far from "full." The Jambo units are sold out (possibly that is what "full" statement was refering to), however, the Kidani units are now selling and there are many of those on sale and many more to come; AKV won't be "full" for a couple years.

We've been bouncing between AKV and BLT all day yesterday. We were hoping that AKV would get an even better incentive going when BLT officially starts selling to the general public. Hmmm, now I guess we will have to call our guide today and find out what is up with AKV being sold out. Not sure I fully believe they are 'full' b/c the guides are still salesmen/women.

When we bought AKV in August, we were told that the only incentive that can be received when buying less than 160 ponts is the 8$ per point.
