Current premium annual pass

Good morning does anyone know if the current premium annual pass includes free parking at the parks? Can't seem to find anything on this anywhere. Thanks much.

I just looked this up on Friday, before I had any idea changes were coming, and it said that parking was included.

All passes now include parking.

And if you haven't bought already, you will not be buying a premium annual. Welcome to the Platinum Plus club...

Current and Premium do not go together anymore ..... this is going to be a nightmare for CMs.

I have a Premium Annual Pass, have had for years. Yes it includes free parking.

The Current pass that is the equivalent, Platinum Plus, also includes free parking.

I went to GR last night (after our visit to DisneyQuest) to see if I could switch to the new Platinum Plus for the photopass (which would also mean I am forfeiting further DisneyQuest visits and was told I could ............... if I paid a fee of $181.05. Since I expire in Feb, no thanks. But that means for the next year there will be not only all the old passes but also the new passes that CMs are going to have to deal with. It makes more sense to let any PREMIUM who wants to switch just switch. We would be forfeiting DisneyQuest, fair enough.

My question is what are they going to replace DisneyQuest with because that is going to be a big loss of a perk for many with that pass. We go there quite often for a couple hours here and there, more often than we do waterparks.

Here is what they had at Guest Relations for the non-Florida residents about new annual pass and regular tickets (for now).

I agree. It will be very confusing. Our premium annuals expire next June. It would make sense to just let us convert now but not at a ridiculous cost. Thanks

I think I can address a few of your questions to the best of my ability.

- DQ is current for passes that currently hold it, but because it is due to close, no new passes will include it. (It makes sense not to include a year pass to a theme park that is closing.)
- In its place, they have essentially said that the free photo downloads (typically MM is $179/199) are going to come with it instead. (However, these are also included on non DQ new program passes.)
- Everyone who currently has an active pass can keep it. This won't effect the CMs. You can proceed right to the Touch Points to enter the park, and they should flash green if your entitlements are up to date, no matter what kind of ticket you have.
- Everyone who decides they would LIKE to have the new options is welcome to upgrade to them. You don't have to, but because some of the older passes don't include Parking (particularly for FLR), that is a better deal for them. Also, some of the newer options may be of interest to the Pass holders. MM lasts up to 45 days, this would allow you to have it for the whole year. That means all your vacations would have it, instead of only buying it for the one trip (if you are making multiple trips.)
-Upgrades aren't that big a deal to the CMs either. You can bring your media (MB/RFID ticket), they scan it, they see what pass you currently have, let you know what the difference is, if that's what you decide, you can upgrade it, they process the upgrade, give you the new media gold mickey pass and you are on your merry way.

What will definitely effect the CMs are annual renewal certificates that were purchased prior to 10/4 that haven't been redeemed. Also the paper mailings floating around, which you have to bring with you. Any of those inbetween renewals are going to be a bit crazy for the CMs.

Otherwise, everything new just goes on the new Pass program with the new ticket media, online cert or otherwise...

- Adding the Photopass to the Platinum Plus formerly Premium absolutely does not replace DQ since it is also part of the non-plus tickets. They are adding NOTHING to replace DisneyQuest which is a problem for us.

- I get that the MB or ticket will be quite clear but the problem is for the next year the CMs absolutely will experience lots of inquiries, arguments and more from guests who feel they should have parking since the current equivalent would, that they want photopass, since their equivalent would ... that the upgrade charge to do so - like for me, 3.5 mos of getting photopass DOWNLOADS and giving up DisneyQuest - they still want $181 from me. CMs are going to be putting up with a lot of upset guests, creating a nightmare for them.

My suggestion is for your to obviously keep your pass until the anniversary then. (I personally can't stand DQ. Once, never again... But that's personal preference.)

Since annual products are annual, all they have to do is guarantee you the life of your pass as long as it is valid. They are indeed doing that. However, things do change. There is no lifetime pass price level. So after the life of your pass, you will have to fit the structure of what is now offered.

Similar to WDW honoring paper tickets from decades ago (and frankly, would any other park in the world do that? I don't know of any other park where you can find tickets in grandma's attic that will still be valid, but Disney DOES accept them!) and similar to them honoring tickets that are pre-expiration, they are good for the life of that particular ticket. Anything after that, however, they do not guarantee. It would be like us wishing we could buy some of the paper tickets that were only $26! (I've seen them!) They DO honor them, but once they are used, that's it. It is the same with these current Annual products. They are good for the life of that particular ticket, the same as you bought them at that time. Once they are used, they are no longer valid, and you will have to renew to the closest particular product. There are a lot of people who don't renew within their date, and end up going to the window to buy a brand new pass all over again.

It just is what it is. I realize that is not a very happy thought for you, but I really don't think DQ will be around that much longer to justify being upset about that. Frankly, I'd be amazed if DQ outlasted the anniversary of your current pass.
