Is Pin Trading between Guests still alive and well?

Since I am a CM at WDW, I was thinking that I could probably trade WDW pins, especially Cast Limited Editions, for high quality DLP pins.

Any comments?

Nowadays most traders seem to be around on the weekend only, unless you approach guests wearing lanyards when walking around.

There's a new pin store called Pueblo Trading Post that seems to be the new desired meeting point, it's got benches and a small trading area. That's where traders seem to hang out nowadays.

When I was there last I only saw one really hard core trader. He was set up at a table at the end on Main St on the right side facing the castle (sort of where the Plaza Restaurant is at MK). He had several books filled with lots of LE and rare pins. I looked through his stuff briefly and while he had lots of desirable pins I only brought pocket traders for CM trading so I really didn't talk to him or try to make any trades. I did see him turn down a trade with someone else but they spoke in French so I didn't really get the gist of the conversation. Honestly he seemed sort of sharky to me. I saw very few guests with lanyards but I was only there on weekdays. I have scaled way back on guest trading at WDW and DL because of the sharkiness.

Wow, that's the old area where traders used to meet. I have not seen someone there in a while.
