Does anyone know if these tickets are 'park hopping' tickets? Can you go into both UC and IOA in one day, but only use up one days worth of entries? Thanks!

Where did you see this offer? I was just on the Universal site and I didn't see that offered. I'm waiting for such an offer as I'm planning on going to the parks for 3 days. :flower:

If you go to www.universalorlando.com and click on "Theme Park Tickets" at the top of the screen, you will get a screen that says "2-Day/2-Park Ticket
Three Flexible Options" One of the options is the 3 days free. The on-line price is $99.95 + tax.

It's even better if you have young kids! You get the same offer(buy 2, get 3 days free), but you also get a free childs ticket with each adult purchased. I don't have any small kids, so I bought the other offer. :flower:

We bought the 2day/2park (3 day free)Adult with kid free and as I've mentioned before we received all adult tickets with no expiration. Others have verified in other threads that this is true.

Look under the mastercard symbol for the buy 4 get one free option, for these same passes. I have done that for serval years when I need Universal passes. (I have 6, so its a good deal for us to get one free)

The one problem I found with the buy 2 get 3 free is that they have to be used on 5 consecutive days...whereas the Buy2 get 1 free can be used within 7 days of first use. We are staying offsite at WDW and the 5 consec. days is not the best option for us, so we are going to probably have to find b2g1f deal.

They are the exact same ticket and must be used within 5 days. If you miss a day, you lose a day.If you go on Monday, the last day you can use it is Friday.

You can also buy the 2 days (without the 3 days free) and those days will never expire even if you just use one day. You can save the other day to use for another trip.

This is such a great deal. Does Universal typically have offering like this? If so I would consider buying these tickets now for a future - as yet unplanned trip.

let me share what i know.
i called the internet universal store yesterday and after my question was answered, i asked about these promos.

i was told that the promo of 2 day 2 park buy 2 day receive 3 day bonus of buy 1 adult ticket receive 1 child ticket free would be listed in their promo until july 31 06. of course, universal does have the right to make changes or modify what they list at any time.

last year the promo of buy a 2 day 2 park pass and get 3 free bonus days and with it recieve a coupon booklet worth over $200 in discounts for the parks and city walk came out end of feb. it lasted until the 3rd week of june. then it was put back on the internet store for sept and nov1 - dec again.

now we have the same program but without the coupon booklet.

i have bought my passes on line the last 3 years. i have seen this same promo the last 3 years. we have been lucky that universal has been generous and offered it.

the employee i spoke with said that universal generally tries to make these promos at different times through out the year. he said he does not know the end date for some of them until his department head releases that info.
he only mentioned the child free promo deadline date.

i know tickets list an expiration date on the back of them. i say this for those out there that want to buy now and stock up.

whenever you have passes with free days on them, there will be an expiration date. usually it is between 5 to 7 dates depending on the promo.
the promo now has expiration dates of "expires 4 days after first use" on them. meaning, use the ticket monday, the entire pass is no longer valid as of saturday.

if you never use the passes at all, they will be valid at the gate when you go through. they don't expire because you have not used them for that first day yet.
if you would have a problem with that pass scanning, don't panic. go to the guest services and they will gladly help you out.

so to the op, yes
::yes::

universal runs great promos on ticket passes. check the on line site frequently.

some may remember this one. year before last universal offered a 2 year annual pass for the price of one year and that one year had a big discount.

i was stupid and waited too long to buy it. i could of had a 2 year AP for just over $100 (total each year)
i have not seen a promo sale like that before
