Current incentive questions

If you purchase a 100 pt. add-on with the new incentive can you split it into two 50 pt. contracts or is this not allowed?

Also, anyone have a good guess as to when this incentive will be over?

Yes, you should be able to split it into multiple smaller contracts. I believe the minimum purchase to get financing is 50 pts and some incentives kick in when you add-on 100pts or more.

I don't believe contracts can be split. I'd suggest confirming this before you buy.

I hope your answer is the right one hellerjw. Thanks. I thought I read of people doing that but was wondering if it can be done with the current incentive. I really don't want to call our guide. He would just tell me to find out myself and let him know afterward. LoL

I'm fairly certain you can split the add-ons however you wish. I called my guide a few weeks ago to inquire about current incentives and asked him exactly that question on a 100-pt add-on. He said I could split it into (2) 50s, no problem.

I think the only restriction is that your initial contract purchased through Disney has to be a minimum of 160 pts. After that I believe you can add-on starting as low as 25 pts.

I think most people tend to add-on in incremental blocks like 25, 50 or 100 but there is nothing stopping you from doing a 62, 79 or a 103 pt one.

We bought in 2005 and our initial contract was 150. That could present a problem then? Thanks hellerjw

No, you are fine. There shouldn't be any problem adding on the 100 pts you want.

I guess I should have just said your initial (buy-in) contract when purchasing direct through Disney has to be a minimum of 160pts currently. A few years ago (like when you purchased) the minimum buy-in was 150pts. After your initial buy-in the add-ons can be much smaller contracts.
