I understand that if you calll MS within 3 days of returning from a cruise that you can book at a reduced rate of points, but there was a post on the DVC board which seemed to indicate that there was also some type of cash reduction/onboard credit and maybe a reduced rate for booking 3rd and 4th in a stateroom.

Can anyone who has cruised in the last couple of months tell me what the current incentives are for booking "onboard" with DVC points other than the reduced number of points for the first two adults in a room? Thanks!!

I've called Member Services about this twice and this is what I've been told (I know others have been told something different, so take this for what it's worth). You can get a reduced rate on both points and cash as long as you call them within 3 days of the 11 month window for booking the cruise if you are a repeat cruiser. Some people have been told that you have to call them within 3 days of returning from your cruise and have them notate it on your account, but I was told that as long as you have a Castaway Club number (or they can prove you have cruised before) it doesn't need to be noted.

Here is an example of what to expect as far as discounts:

4 night Disney Cruise for 2 people on 11-27-05
If booked Dec. 27, 2004 or within 3 business days of that-
Category 6
Points – 137 per person (274 total)
Or cash for second $917

If booked after the 3 day period of time-
Points – 152 per person (304 total)
Or cash for second $1017

I have the discount points chart, but not the info about the cash discount for additional people. I wonder if it is a flat $100 discount off cash price or ??
