Could anyone please share? Last fall my boys were so dissapointed in not being able to have the cookie boat.

Thanks!

Most recent reports are that it is still not available. The issue seems to be with the creation of the sails. Sorry. :(

It wasn't there when we recently ate there. We were bummed too.

The Big Thunder BBQ has something similar--kind of like a pizza cookie with ice cream. I am pretty sure you can just go there for dessert if you don't want the full meal.

As of last week, the dessert menu had Creme Brulee (Vanilla-bean custard) and Chocolate Cake.

The Creme Brulee was really good! :thumbsup2

But I wish they'd bring back the cookie boat. :sad1:

I was SO upset when I found out the cookie boat was gone when we were there in April. Sadness. And nothing on the dessert menu approximates. Head over to Cafe Orleans and get the Mickey beignets instead ;-)

It was so good, we would eat it without any sail on it!!!!
:lmao:

There is some other good stuff but that was our favorite :sad2:

I don't see why they don't just use a different type of sail. I mean, if the sail is causing problems then chose a different method and get the most popular dessert ever back on the menu......People want to keep the sail anyway, make it of something you can take home and keep, the sugar sails break. :) Those are my 2 cents anyway LOL

I wonder if one of the reasons they stopped doing it was because they really didn't want people coming into the restaurant just to have dessert. When I was there last month the desserts were creme brulee, chocolate cake, and pecan pie - they were $8, I think.

BTR does dessert only. The item you mentioned is the Toll House Cookie Bake, which is what it sounds like, with vanilla ice cream and hot fudge sauce on top. 3 of us couldn't finish it (although that was after "all you care to eat" barbecue.

As someone else reported, Blue Bayou has chocolate cake, creme brulee, and pecan pan (an individual tart really) which is served warm with a vanilla sauce on top and whipped cream - really very nice.

Another great dessert option is the Banana Bread Pudding at Cafe Orleans. My personal favorite, and again too much for one, plan to share it.
