Current Costs and Incentives

I own at SSR but my friend is thinking about buying in. What is the current point cost? Also, what is the current incentive? Any money off per point? Any developers points? Which resorts are still selling? What is the downpayment requirement? Thanks for any info!

I just purchased at BLT. The current price is $112 per point. They are offering an incentive of $5 off per point in the form of a Disney Gift Card that can be applied to the down payment and also matching DP for SSR, DLR or II. The down payment is 10%. New members must purchase a minimum of 160 points. I have read on the boards that beginning mid-Jan the minimum to purchase at BLT will be 200.

AKV is also currently being sold by Disney. The rate I think is $104 per point with a $6.25 discount. Mid-January the cost per point will increase to $112.

All other resorts can be purchased through Disney, however there may be a waiting list. Your friends can also research the resale market.

Building on this...the current BLT incentive quoted here is apparently expiring on 12/1. I haven't seen anything from DVC about this date, but it's been quoted extensively here. It isn't clear to me if this is true or not. Anyone have any official confirmation on this?

The new incentive for both BLT and AKV based on paying the full price for points ($112 at BLT, $104 at AKV) and offers a $1000 gift card and a 3-night stay in any DVC 1-bedroom for 160-219 points or a 5-night stay for 220+ points.

Changes rolling out on 15 January:
*AKV point price increases from $104 to $112
*BLT minimum purchase requirement increases from 160 points to 200 points
*BLT minimum member add-on increases from 25 points to 100 points
