I just bought an AP today, but since I don't have it in my possesion yet I can't get online to check current hotel rates. Does anyone know what kind of discounts they are offering? I will be traveling in August of 2010.

Congrats on the AP They don't have the AP rates out for August 2010 yet.....

They only post hotel rates for 4 months at a time (current month plus 3). And right now for January they only show the standard 10% off, no special rates yet.

How about December? Any improvement on the rates so far? I noticed the rates for booking without an AP have actually gone up at the DLH since last week!!!

What dates are you looking for? The came down below the 10% off back in September.

ETA: Sun-Thurs is $159 at DLH
Fri-Sat, week leading up to Xmas eve $209
Xmas eve-Jan 2 $311

What does "ETA" mean? I'm looking to go Sun 12/13 through Tues 12/15 and will have my AP by then, but I'd love to book something now at DLH. I think I've read you can make the reservations without your "AP number"? Is that true? Thanks so much!

ETA is edited to add You do not need your AP number to make a reservation.

12/13-12/15 is $159 a night (there is still availability!). You don't need the AP number to book, but you will need it at check in.

You actually don't need it at check in - as long as you show it to them that day, before midnight (that's what we had to do as I was picking it up and activating it after check in)

So if I was to book in advance with Concierge for the normal 10% discount, closer to the time I could ring and change my booking for the better rate if it was being offered? Do you get the discount for concierge as well?

I'd be picking up my AP on the day as well, one of the reasons is for the DLH discount as we'll be staying for 8-9 nights.

Yes, this is exactly what you can do.

OP we will be there at the same time! Dec 12-16 for DDs 10th bday....no more single digit kids for me......except my DGD
