Current AKV Incentive ?

When we went on our tour this week she was really pushing SSR over AKV, and I understood her to say that if we chose AKV we couldn't use any points anywhere until 09 since our "deeded property" would technically not be finished until then.

Was she just trying to get rid of remaining SSR?

She actually was correct and incorrect. You can not use any of your AKV points prior to your occupancy date (we just bought and mine is May 1, 2009.) What it sounds like she failed to mention is that when you purchase at AKV, you receive developer points equal to the amount of your contract points. Those points can then be used at SSR or be traded thru II. We are using our points for 6 nights in a studio at SSR in August and then 5 nights in January. You also do not have to pay any dues on those points until 2009 (no dues on the developer points so they are like free points )

So if I purchase a 50 pt add on do I get the SSR developer points also?

How is the AKV a better deal? It sounds like you get the same developer points whether you buy SSR or AKV? W/SSR you also get the $10 discount as well as the $500 gc.

You don't get developer points with SSR, do you?

You will owe dues on those points. We do not ow any dues on our developer points or have any dues due on 2008 points until Kindai is declared open (and then those are prorated.)

We just did a 50 pt add on at AKV and it was 96 pp with no developer points. The developer points are only for 100 points or more I believe. Since we have a Feb use year we managed to get 2008 points in Jambo so we get the points now and can use them now and the MF's are prorated to about 2/3 the price of a year.
