I’m looking for current info. (Including $$ estimates) on airport shuttles from DLR to LAX. All of the info I’ve been able to pull via a search has been pre-pandemic. Trying to figure out the best option (cost + reliability) between shuttle, cab, or Uber/Lyft. Any suggestions?

I looked at Execucar (which is who we used last time we were there in 2019) and it was over twice as much. Is that just the norm now?

Prices have definitely gone up. This is the current price for Karmel shuttle if you get a voucher from Get Away Today.

Wow! I got $128.45 (with the AAA discount) for our entire party of 4 directly via the Karnel website just now. Which is still almost twice what we paid in 2019, but less than the price Execucar gave me ($172). That $149/per ticket seems insanely high.

Prices jumped in the past couple of weeks. I was looking at the Get Away Today Karmel vouchers for Long Beach airport and it jumped from $78 one way to $105 one way.

That’s crazy! That $128 is for one way (to LAX)). I went ahead and booked it. I figure if I find something cheaper I can always cancel. 🤷🏻‍♀️

My boys (21, 18, 15) flew into LGB last night. I ended up having them take a taxi to their hotel. They used Ride Yellow. No reservation, they just walked out to the taxis. I told them to say they wanted the flat rate as advertised on their website, which is $47 to DLR area hotels. It worked out very well for them. Not sure if the same type of flat rate service is offered from LAX -- obviously more than $47, but it may be cheaper than other options. My son said there were mini vans, but they rode in a Prius.

Disney confirmed to me today that Karmel Shuttle isn't booking shared shuttles so. The reason for the price hike is because it's a private shuttle. Ya its pretty pricey. I'm trying to find a good deal to and from SNA.

I noticed Get Away Today removed the shared option for Karmel from their website. It wasn't up very long. Maybe it was a mistake.

I dont know but I was able to book it in July. Costco told me they weren't booking shared shuttles right now and that lower rate was a shared shuttle.

Ugh about the shared shuttle ending. I mean, I understand, pandemic and such. Just frustrated that I'm back to taxi or ride share to/from SNA.

I paid $105 on Sept 4th for a car from our hotel on South Harbor to LAX. We used Midwilshuttle and I'd definitely use them again. They were very responsive to my emails and our driver was prompt and professional. I don't know if they offered a shared shuttle, I wanted our own vehicle so I didn't ask, but I was happy with our experience.

I feel the same. I used to use Supershuttle and used Karmel shuttle after that and am trying to find a reasonably priced shuttle for our upcoming trip but everything is so over priced. I liked that the shuttle service had it all figured out and there was never any possibility of missing a flight. Uber/lyft doesn't do that. Ugh

Wednesday, 9/14/2021 at 12:16 p.m. PST... $25.97-$43.75 for Lyft regular to XL pricing.

When you know your flight information, you can pull up the app and get a general idea for planning. In my case, I'm flying in next Wednesday at 3:40 p.m. PST, so I'll check again in a few hours to have a better gauge of the expected price.

We just used Karmel Shuttle this past week. And it was pricey. But the service was really good and I love that we can stop at the store on the way to the hotel.

Is the store stop a new service offered by Karmel? I didn't know they did that. Was it advertised, or something you just asked for?

I’m not sure? We’d never used the service before. The driver asked us at pickup if we’d like to stop anywhere. We hadn’t thought about it before hand but it was great to get water and snacks. I just assumed it was part of the service.

Whoa this is really cool. We were planning on getting dropped off at the hotel and immediately getting into and Uber to go to Target. That will save us time if our driver does this for us.

We're using Karmel for the first time in a few weeks we got the van for all of us for $105. We would need either 2 XL Ubers or 3 normal sized ones from SNA so I feel like $105 is such a great deal.
